I thought Evander fought smarter in the rematch and Bowe wasn’t in the shape he should’ve been in (typical!) but physically he was at his best in the first fight but I don’t think there’s much in it either way.
The third fight is so strange to watch. Holyfield started well, then was seemingly exhausted alarmingly early in a fight he looked to be in great physical shape for. Then he floored Bowe hard and was within a punch or two of winning then was exhausted again and got stopped. Something definitely wasn’t right with him for a while there because he looked pretty average against Bobby Czyz soon after before winding back the clock and looking as good as ever in belting Tyson. Very strange.

Golota boxed Bowe's ears off. Starting with the jab. His jab was pretty quick. Golota had quicker hands than Bowe.

Holyfield and Bowe are great friends. I once had lunch with Bowe, he calls Holyfield his friend and thinks their 2nd match was a draw.

Isn´t that the pure definition of Larry Donald? Did he leave him out on purpose? I don´t know. Maybe there´s a difference "in moving to fight" and "running".

There’s no category for ‘quicker hands than the person answering the question.’ Maybe Golota’s handspeed was second-best from the point of view of the guy Golota was throwing those punches at.

And Golota would surely have gotten more mentions if the categories were slightly different: Best at breaking the rules, Mentally weakest. Best ball puncher ... all would favor Andrew.

Your probably right , from Bowe's point of view it has to be Pinklon Thomas jab. He never did see any of Golota's jabs considering they were hitting him square In the face. He has yet to see one.

I hope Bowe hasn't memory problem because the second fight wasn't a draw.

In the face as opposed to in the balls?

Your boy managed to get himself rightfully DQ’d TWICE against the same guy. He also literally got holes punched in his face.

To be fair, I was going to ask who wrote this post for you.

Capital B and D in Big Daddy, next time, tell them. Otherwise, definite signs of improvement.

Interesting that he gave Holy "Strongest". I think it's believable. Evander was a beast, despite his relatively low weight.

    Body punching. ; - )

Too bad the Bowe - Mercer fight never happened. In hindsight I think Bowe should've given the May 93 shot to Mercer despite the loss to Ferguson. Ali still gave Lyle his shot despite Lyle's losing to Jimmy Young in his previous fight.
