Riddick Bowe on fallout with Rock Newman

Never liked Rock..egotistical racist dirtbag who always wanted to be in the spotlight

 

Newman’s an arsehole.

And if he’s hooked up with Bowes daughter (who he’d have known since she was a baby) he’s also a complete low life.

 

Newman is definitely controversial. But it's not Rock's fault that Bowe blew his money and is now broke. Bowe I think is full of BS.
Newman sold his BMW when Bowe turned pro to help finance his career, and always looked out for him.

 

Newman was a Malcolm X like a political activist, and a somewhat crazy. He attached another fighter in the ring and was the riot starter after Bowe vs Golota.

Newman wanted Bowe to be the next 1960's outspoken Ali, though Bowe was too kind-hearted to be the puppet of the leader of the Nation of Islam, whom Newman adored.

After Tommy Morrison defeated Foreman, there was the buzz about him fighting Bowe. Newman would whistle Tommy can you hear me, which was a song from the Who, and about some deaf, dumb, blind boy.

Morrison did not need to be baited for the fight. He was in. Then Morrison's manager Bill Clayton said the fight just disappeared, and said you'd have to as Rock Newman why. Rumor has it the Nation of Islam did not want this fight, as losing to a White American something they were willing to risk.

 

It's Newman's fault if Bowe paid Newman's taxes, as Bowe stated.

Fighters get ripped off like this quite often. Like Bowe said, if he made $10 million, he paid $5 million in taxes, then he paid everyone else out of what was left.

But the team's cut isn't based on what's left after taxes. Their cut is based on the $10 million. So, if they're taking 30 percent of $10 million ($3 million) and he's only got $5 million left after paying taxes, they're getting $3 million (and not paying taxes) and he's left with $2 million (out of the original $10 million).

Newman should've had Bowe pay everyone on the team first (and let them pay their own taxes), then whatever Bowe had left, let's say it's $7 million, then Bowe should've paid taxes on HIS $7 million income. Not on the $10 million.

If Newman did that Bowe's entire career, Bowe more than paid for a freaking BMW, that's for sure.

Managers who do that make me sick.

Having sex with Bowe's daughter isn't exactly cool, either.

I think the biggest story here is Bowe's daughter. How in the TF old was she when Rock started messin with her???

 

Please don't ever compare that charlatan Rock Newman with Malcolm X.

 

And those were his good qualities.

 

I didnt care for Newman but I think he did care about Bowe and to be honest got him easy title defenses. Probably came up with the idea of throwing the belt away and ducking Lewis. Bowe won't say that.
I don't know about the behind-the-scenes taxes situation. I can't take bowe to seriously cuz he lives in a fantasy world. As far as not talking to Bo for 20 years I can't say I blame Newman. Bowe was a pain in the ass that kept self-destructing. Big Daddy went all the way to crazy Town in a shorter time that it took Mike Tyson. From the Marines to kidnapping his wife getting fat pget fat punching Larry Donald at a press conference. The riot at the garden after golota work him over that was all Bowe fault that was his people.

 

Newman played his part in that Golota brawl. I still remember seeing him stepping over his fighter writhing on the canvas to get into Andrew Golota’s face. It was a poor look and does nothing to rebut Bowes claims that Rock never truly cared for him.

These days Rock reckons boxing is ugly and should be banned. After he’s cashed in of course. He’s a “see you next Tuesday” of the highest order.

 

This video needs subtitles. Bowe doesn’t make sense 90% of the time and says things that only a completely punch drunk old timer would say, like telling Evander he can knockout Wilder and Fury. Rock Newman was one crazy mother****er, he KOed the fan man by beating him over the head with his cellphone.

 

I think she was in her mid teens or something. Not sure. If I were Bowe I woulda drop kicked Rock’s ***** ass right there and then.
