In 1992? Yes. But in 2012 he would need the aid of a pistol to make things interesting. Frankly I'm not sure if he even decisions his own heavy bag.

    He is.

Bowe is 44 years old, same age as Foreman when he was winning world titles from the socalled great 90's. Now in this socalled weakest division in history Bowe should be a real force! That is "if" its weak like haters are saying.:yep

The people on this site are the same kind of people who follow trends . In other words you can sell them any bull**** at all . :deal:hey

    Look at this poll.

This is why Klitschko haters are regarded as some of the most ******ed posters on this board.

    :patsch

Bowe was a very talented but extremely lazy fighter in his own era, what makes you think that even after close to a decade of inactivity that he would all of a sudden come back in fighting shape ready to clean out the division? He's past his sell by date. Foreman was an exception not the rule.

A 1992 Bowe would stopped Wladimir Klitschko and decisioned Vitaly Klitschko but this is 2012.

Humor me what is your Top 10 ATG Heavyweight list look like?

The same Bowe that was scared to death of Lewis and did **** all with his whole career?

Take away the Holyfield fights and the only thing noteworthy about Bowe is getting his ass beat twice by Andrew ****ing Golota.

    Horrendously overrated fighter.

    Riddick Bowe: The Facts

-Bowe was the undisputed, unified, lineal heavyweight champion aged 25 & is the only man in heavyweight history to have won all 4 major belts.

-Bowe won an Olympic medal aged only 21. Bowe won 4 consecutive New York Golden Gloves titles.

-Bowe won 98% of his fights. Pre-comback only 10% of his opponents lasted the distance. He stopped 26% of his opponents in the 1st round & 71% didnt last 6.

-His only loss was the closest points decision in HW title history & against an ATG whom he beat decisively in a trilogy

-His record against world champions is 7-1. His record against Olympic medalists is 6-1

-As an underdog he beat an prime undefeated ATG in one of the greatest fights in history.

Not bad for a horrendously overrated figher

I'd hazard a guess that more damage is done down the home stretch of a fighters career than the beginning. All the more reason not to take unnecessary punishment as your heading into the next chapter of your life, a life without Boxing. What good is money if you dont have your health? Quality of life is much more important. Bowe should jack it in but its his choice at the end of the day. He shouldn't have the choice taken away from him either imo.

Well he did duck Lewis blatantly, he could never beat Lennox and he knew that more than anyone.

Also you failed to mention all those times Golata tapped that ass.

Still, I wouldn't say Bowe is overrated, I just feel there were so many better fighters during that era.

I give him a puncher's chance against Waldo. If he can land even 1/10 of the uppercut that he rocked Holyfield with it will cave in Waldo's pathetic wet toilet paper chin.
