Riddick Bowe - Pure Class

Flush or not, I sure wouldn't want to be on the receiving end of that left. Lol. One of my favorite press conference moments.

 

Man I would have loved to see Lennox Lewis slaughter that bum Bowe.

 

The punch was not as hard as it looked on there.. I was there.. and it was a heavy slapping sound like his hand was slightly open.. The problem here in truth was that Bowe liked Larry and found it hard to muster up some kind of motivation for Donald. I think Bowe tried to get a pre fabricated Grudge going , but he ended up looking an ass for it.. Trust me that was not a real solid shot.. I know Bowe would have tore Larrys head off from that range with a bare fist.. It was a decent slap , and it was just made to shock .. a silly PR prank that looking back made Riddick look a little tasteless...

Bowe v Mathis was at the height of poor taste.. Hitting Buster when he was on a knee was dire.. Hazzard was ready to disqualify Bowe and i think Mercante was on his way to wave the fight off in Mathis's favour.. Politics saved Bowe on the night...

Bowe v Tillery 1 was same old, Bowe was rarely out of trouble back then ..

I remember Bowe confronting Lennox after he became undisputed champ at the thomas , Mack.. Lewis said " can we call you chicken Bowe.. Lewis said he'd knock him out, and Bowe asked him at ringside to do it then.. Lewis was doing commentary and i watched as Lennox took off his headset.. i thought .. Oh boy ohh boy .. please not for free.. That was the closest they came to fighting as pros..
Bowe was class, as a fighter with talent.. But as far as a classy person .. He was a ghetto bird.. quite tasteless at times.....

 

I'd pick on the Legend if I had no interest in facing Lennox...seems like a smart move.

 

Remember Bowe's blatant combination after the bell against Gonzalez?

I'm used to a guy throwing a punch or two after the bell, but Bowe actually walked over to the corner after the bell rung and hit Gonzalez with a combo.

 

Donald has one hell of a Chin to take those punches flush with no gloves on.

 

I think this guy kidnapped his kids or something.

 

Bowe was always a punk.

I love watching Golota beat the **** out of him 2 times in a row.

 

Am I the only one here that likes Bowe? He is my all time favorite fighter, well, tied with Larry Holmes of course.

 

Bowe still didn't throw his right hand straight...it's looping even out of the ring

 

I have seen so many posts by Rico that at first glance I thought the thread's title was "Riddick Bowe - Pure Glass"

I think the 1st punch prevented the KO...it alerted him enough to roll with the 2nd one somewhat...

Bowe got a lot of torque on that right...bent his knees a lot and twisted to load that shot up.

Disgraceful.

 

I personally believe that smacking Larry " The Legend" DonaldDuck in the face is classy. Big Daddy's cool!
