According to BoxRec anyway. He shouldn't be given a license. He has serious brain damage.

Christ on a bike...why does he bother?

He's had about, what is it, something like 4 cancelled fights in a row since his debacle against Zumbrun in April '05 though. So maybe this will be another false rumour.

Bowe will comeback to dominate, and Eddie Futch will rise from the grave!

  6. Bowe to fight Audley Harrison for the undisputed title in late 2009. You heard it here first :D

Well... You know... Uh... The division is very weak right now... Look at what Holyfield was able to do... Bowe has, uh, aged well... People said Foreman couldn't do it, but, uh, look at, I mean, him... In many ways, Bowe is... Uh... A better fighter now... More skilled... He's like Archie Moore...

^ That's 15 times more eloquent than anything Bowe can say right now.

I remember in 2005, when Tyson was still around, people thought that if he only he went back to Rooney he could surely gain back the hevyweight championship

Thinking Bowe can he get into the top 75 HW rankings at this age is just as ludicrous.

He should fight Vitali first since they are both making comebacks almost on monthly basis ;-).

I don't understand Bowe. Even if he is broke he won't get any serious money. He is no Evander Holyfield.

The weird thing is, they kept on talking about a rematch with Danny Williams. Who really cared? Now that I think about it, there were still some who thought he was on the comeback trail against Sanders- he wasn't even on the farewell trail!

Ah, how I "miss" the Tyson contingent on here. Sonnybox was particularly bad, since he'd clearly lost a lot of money on Lewis-Tyson and created a whole mythology of his relationship with Lennox.

Ugh.....Imagine all the Tyson threads you'd have to put up with if ESB was around in the 80's

Nah, he'd be rubbished as fighting bums/cheating with elbows/having no power ("he went the distance with Bonecrusher and Mitch frickin' Green!") etc. etc.

On the other hand, Earnie Shavers and Jimmy Young would be on the comeback road, prepped to take over the division. Larry Holmes would be called a china-chinned joke by some, and praised as the best ever by others. Iron-Head Marvin would be underrating Marvin Hagler. Jack Prescott would be deploring Sugar Ray Leonard's popularity.

Zakman would be praising Mikhail Gorbachev for restoring the USSR to its full glory. Gabby would be talking about how itchy those long striped stocks were. UnbeatableCurry would be talking about how Donald Curry was the greatest of all time. Artani would be in an Albanian labour camp. And I dread what Arran would be like with Margaret Thacher in power.

leave tyson out of this discussion about the brain damaged bowe. no credible poster would've said tyson was fighting bums, perhaps you would. btw, tyson in 05 could still beat up on b level guys like he did to golota, ettiene, and williams (whom he was absolutely smashing before the injury) in the years immediately prior to. mcbride was a bad match up at that point in tyson's training and he could've still beat him on points if he wouldn't have quit like a fool. that said, tyson woul've gotten blown out by klitchko (either one unless he caught wlad early) probably worse than he did against lewis.

No one in his right mind would say that Tyson was feasting on bums in the late 1980s. That's why 90% of the posters of here would be saying that he was.

When a boxer needs to just make it through the last four rounds to beat Kevin McBride, he's going nowhere. I actually think Tyson in 2003 was substantially better than Tyson in 2005, and Tyson in 2001-2002 was vastly better. Tyson really began to break down rapidly in his last few years (it was a miracle it didn't happen sooner) and that was obvious to anyone who wasn't blinded by schoolgirl love.

I saw a few weeks ago an article on the front page (with a terrible looking picture of Bowe) saying he was gonna do MMA. Does BoxRec list MMA fights??
