Bowe would smack his lips at bullying another small guy, but Frazier would not be easy pickings by any means.

You can also use big Mathis who he had difficulty with, add some power to Mathis and Frazier would take a loss.

Not sure where anyone thinks an in your face 205 pounder would be favored here? Holy field was very fast two handed counter puncher if they are using that they also not only have the style wrong but height and chin as well.

Frazier would do all the work for Bowe who realistically only struggled with long jabber besides Holy field a more polished fighter then Frazier.

A big clue here is Futch who said Bowe was the most talented fighter he trained at one point said Bowe could have been the greatest HW of all time before he went off the rails.

Yes they did! I also had it 7-3, but can see 6-4. 5-5 seems a stretch to me but I do respect Mercante and he did have the best viewing point of anyone. So even though I don’t see it, I won’t argue it to much.

He couldn't even do that to the moribund, completely predictable and undynamic Coetzer.... but he's going to do it to a guy who ruled the division for 6 or so years. OK.

Both guys are underrated on this forum IMO. Bowe has the best inside game of ant SHW period. He has a great inside game regardless of size. That being said this is where Smoke eats and sleeps it's his complete comfort zone.
Frazier gets what he wants with Bowe in an inside brawl of attrition. Bowe without a doubt has some big moments but Smoke isnt going to lose an inside game of attrition. Both at there best Frazier stops him very late or clean UD IMO

    Coetzer The Mover?

He was in Bowe's chest all night. And still Bowe needed to low blow him to get him out of there.

Bowe s going to do his damned best to get Joe out early, he's not wanting to get in to a long distance fight with Smoking hot Frazier. He may have success at dropping him ,but can he keep him down long enough or enough times to get a stoppage ?
If Joe survive s a early barrage from Riddick ,then im seeing Big Daddy in a world of pain. He'd put twice as much pressure on him than Holy did. If Bowe makes it to the end bell he loses by ud .

This thread is a bit of a surprise coming from someone who doesn't think Marciano could compete in later eras.

Compete and dominate are two different levels of performance.

Elsewise, Frazier proved to the world that he could beat relatively primed, highly skilled operators and have a record prolonged excellence at a high level to prove it.

Beating guys like Quarry, Ellis, and Bonavena doesn't give me much confidence in Frazier's ability to handle someone like Riddick Bowe.

Golota and Buster Mathis jr both moved well at the waste and caused Bowe to miss a ton of shots. I see Frazier doing the same, will he get hit of course but Bowe carried good not great power.
I see a very entertaining fight here. I don’t think this is a repeat of Foreman vs Frazier.
Bowe’s size may help him seize the victory in the end (he had pattern of fighting small guys) but his lack of defense and his tendency to brawl would mean it probably be very hard fought.

How about beating the greatest heavyweight ever? Does that have any bearing on the discussion?

How about getting brutally demolished by Foreman? I think that has some bearing as well.
