But no one is claiming years of unbroken dominance for Bowe as you are for Frazier. Frazier won the NY version of the title by beating an unranked [by the Ring] Mathis , defended against the unranked Ziggy and Stander and Daniels.
I've just had 2 Moretti's and a glass of sauvignon blanc tonight. Been round one of the daughters but had to get back home around 11.30 as one of my three dogs is terrified of fireworks and they all kick off at 12.

Àthletes in the 1980s had good tracks, and the ability to compete beyond age 23 and loads and loads of steroids they could take with little fear of failing drug tests.

Yet despite all this none of them could match Usain Bolt.

The population has also gotten much bigger which means a much bigger talent pool.

Don't get me started. You ever compete on a cinder or dirt track? Without starting blocks?

Owens would be a 9.8 or 9.7 guy at least. And as a long jumper he would be dominant.

Bolt's competitors also had access to all the nutrition, tracks and training regimes you speak of and still weren't able to compete with him.

Thinking he could go faster with starting blocks is reasonable but there is no basis whatsoever for saying he would do 9.7 or 9.8. He could just as easily be only 9.91 or 9.96

Bolt was a physical outlier that hasn't been approached in decades (and is not at all beyond suspicion as almost his teammates have been busted). But are you really comparing b*tch titted Bowe to Bolt in terms of athletes?

I competed in the sport at national level and have watched it for 40 years now. I will take my assessment.

    HNY!

In other sports maybe. Not in boxing. Not even close.

I only claim what Ring claims and they are the claimmakers in this claimmaking enterprise.

Champagne chilled. Cotes de Blanc. Vintage 2010. Almost time to pop.

Best to you and your hounds!

Also the starting blocks explanation doesn't come close to accounting for other sports.

How do you explain for example the massive differences in performance between someone like Michael Phelps and swimmers in the 1970s? Do you really think better swimsuit design could account for such a massive gap in speed?

Funny that Ali had all those advantages. And Ali was 10 times the fighter in skill and heart and talent and dedication that Bose was.

    How'd that turn out?

    I think you're underrating Jessie...

A 2016 Jessie would be the first man to break the nine second barrier !

Your free to assess however you like. But your ideas regarding Owens sadly remain in the realm of guesswork. Also a 9.8 time wouldn't match Bolt's best, nor would a 9.7.

Also, didn't they have good tracks and starting blocks in the 1970s and 1980s in running?
