Bowe. Wlad is not gonna KO Bowe, so don't even go there. He couldn't even knock out weak-chinned Haye, who was not even half the boxer Bowe was. Bowe was of equal size to Klitschko. Unlike Wlad, Bowe's chin is iron. Look at the Golata fight, especially the second one. The amount of punishment he took and yet still didn't go down, was insane. Bowe was willing to engage and fight, and that's what you need to do to beat Wlad - take him out of his comfort zone, and try to fight him, not box him. Not to mention, Bowe was a very rare super-heavyweight in the sense that he could fight on the inside!! Not even Lennox Lewis could do that! Wlad will eventually taste one of those nasty uppercuts which nearly knocked the granite-chinned Holyfield out cold, and he will go down hard. Though I don't think it would be an early win. It will take time yes, but eventually Bowe will catch Wlad.

Bowe has the size to hang but is mentally weak, he will wilt by round 4. The guy was losing to golota times, lost to holyfield etc I do give him credit though he was a good fighter thats why tyson ducked him, he would have lit tyson up like a christmas tree

    Wlad K.O

Considering this poll was made 4 years ago, I'm not too shocked with the results.

A prime Wladimir beats Bowe 7 times outta 10 for me.

  5. That Riddick Bowe who existed for like 18 months through the first Holyfield fight could probably have beaten any heavyweight of any era. His jab was that good, and he was a master in-figher despite being so god damn tall.

I wish we had some magic time/space device that would allow us to see fantasy match-ups like this...

Wlad for sure. And it is fairly rare I would have Wlad surely against a former champion because I dont really trust Wlad's chin/mentality (although it has improved).

But Bowe was lousy against someone decent his own size. Wlad is a level or two above Golota.

Bowe did well against small cruiserweights like Holyfield, but ran like Forest Gump if there was another big guy after him (Lennox..).. and for example the Golota fights showed us clearly why. He just could not handle it.

  7. Prime Bowe... metally weak? Watch those first 2 Holyfield fights man!!!

Bowe was a great midget killer, he was 6'5 but could fight inside. he would uppercut tysons guard and kill him.

but against guys his height or taller like lewis or wlad he gets boxed up

Riddick Bowe's prime was against Holyfield in Nov 1992 and no way Wladimir fights like Holyfield fought his heart out that Friday 13th night, an even odds efight between undefeated fighter, the former undisputed HWT Champion of the World and the former WBA number one contender who battered Pierre Coetzer of SA and came down in weight, fit and carrying not much than 235 pounds for a 6'5'' tall fighter. Bowe's second spell was against Gonzalez who was as big as Wladimir and in the heaviest combined weight in a World title fight, a WBO title that bowe won from Hide and let it go to fight Andrew Golota twice, Bowe absolutely demolished Gonzales who was a good amateur Cuban who beat both Lewis and Bowe in the amateurs but was not at his best as a pro, still a big puncher but maybe not in Wladimir's level. Still Bowe would do that to Wladimir.
