The best version of Bowe meets the best version of AJ. I think AJ is the harder puncher and they both can be hit so.....who takes it and why?

Bowe UD or late KO. Holyfield is a better name than anything Joshua has, and I think Bowe has better ring generalship and the better chin. Power is debatable

Good fight. Bowe is a much more fluid athlete than the stiff Joshua but Bowe possessed a low ring Iq. If he gets dragged into a war Bowe may be in trouble Joshua is a big puncher. And Bowe could take punishment but guys like Coetzer, Golota and Holyfield has lot of success against Bowe and couldn’t punch like this guy.
I need to see more of Joshua - Wlad and Povetkin were both either shot or very over the hill and Joshua struggled with both of them. Give me two more fights with him - and if he looks good (he’s fighting the best competition of any heavy right now) i’ll Pick him more confidently. If he struggles i’ll Stick with Bowe who for all his flaws always looked supremely talented

Bowe offensively showed better ring genralship than he did defensively, his guard was crap compared to AJ`s.

At this stage i'd favor Bowe. He'd match him on the outside and outclass him on the inside at this point imo.

I think both Povetkin and Wlad at the ages they were at when they fought AJ would have landed more shots on Bowe than they did on AJ, Bowe was really careless and not defensively responsible after he punched, very easy to counter.

Bowe did not live up to his potential, condition was one of the reasons

Joshua is a well conditioned fighter but I think more fundementally sound than Bowe. Joshua does not get hit as much as Bowe but both men seemed to have had good wiskers

Neither man fought a Tyson like relentless puncher. I like the way Joshua is always prepared, dropped a few lbs in his last fight & it showed in that he was less sluggish

Bowe was a decent infighter for a big man but I like Joshua to beat Bowe

Bowe couldn`t take the amount of shots he took vs Holy from AJ he would be knocked out, he wouldn`t be able to trade with AJ inside but AJ would react inside how he did vs Parker, he didn`t like it in there, he might clinch and stuff, AJ`s more wary of getting hit than Bowe or Holy were.

You are only looking at one side of the picture mate. If boxing came down to who "was more defensively responsible" (lolz) all the time as you often imply there would not be any betting in boxing as it would be almost 100% predictable!

You mustn't rate guys who used head movement almost exclusively like Jones, peak Ali and Benitez at all.

History is littered with more defensively responsible fighters on the canvas or on the wrong end of a decision.

This could go either way. Both have the potential to drop each other.

Bowe had the potential to crowd bigger men like Gonzales on the back foot und roughen them up inside. I don´t think that sounds like a gameplan against Joshua, who would bomb to much on Bowe incoming like that.
He maybe would have better chances boxing AJ from a proper distance.

How is that easy to see ??? Bowe could get hurt from a puncher like Holyfield, AJ could get up from an older Wlad in teriffic shape hitting him with a bomb.
Would you bet on Bowe in that one?

I believe a prime Bowe with Eddie Futch in his corner wins this. Bowe did not have the longevity that some of the other great heavyweights but he was a force of nature when he was on top of his game. I can't recall a man his size with his inside game.

With that said, I do like Joshua and think if he if continues to keep his head on straight he will be a great champion.

I would bet on a in shape top of his game Bowe to take Joshua to school. Are you forgetting Bowe retires undefeated if you give him the second Holy fight which I did. Bowe beats him on the inside or the outside. Bowe was a complete well school fighter who's downfall was his own laziness. Joshua is very very far from being a complete fighter and I doubt he ever will considering his age. Bowe takes this fight. Very confident in my choice.
