If both at their respective bests, '92 Bowe (Holyfield I) defeats '91 Old Foreman (Holyfield) by a quite wide UD or late TKO in a brutal fight. Bowe would throw & land a great deal more punches, & land some viscous combinations, while George would occasionally rock Riddick with a flush bomb & sometimes use his heavy ramrod jab to good effect. If Bowe invests enough body punching to wear Foreman down, he gets a late referee stoppage.
Would be a complete slugfest but I think bowe would be too good on the inside for. Old george I think bowe would stop him but against prime george bowe gets koed no1 could slug with prime foreman
The cross-arm guard of Old George makes him vulnerable to combination punching, & Bowe was one of the most skillful combination punchers at Heavyweight.
Probably Bowe. He wouldn't stand in front of Foreman all night. His long reach would make this a relatively easy night for him.
Bowe by UD If Bowe limits himself by fighting on the outside and outworking him from there, Big George will eventually tire out and look for the 1 punch KO. But Bowe also had tendencies to slug it out, this is where Foreman could get some rounds in by rocking Bowe with his right hand and using his jab to keep the slugging at medium distance (an inside fight works to Bowe's advantage).
Bowe out-boxes and out-slugs the preaching puncher who won't be able to muscle around a fighter that can match his size. Bowe wins a wide unanimous decision. Now, if we get a taco Foreman...
I think Bowe is actually quite similar to Foreman style-wise. Big, sluggers with technical deficiencies. But Bowe is younger, faster and would grind out a UD in a fight that leaves both men battered.
I might concede that Bowe would beat the latter day version of Foreman, but the young Foreman would knock the **** out of the sloppy, garbage can Bowe.
