Riddick Bowe vs Holyfield Trilogy on ESPN Classic

    Yeah I think a lot of people focused on how gassed Holyfield looked at times and lost sight of the fact that Bowe had clearly diminished from his 92-93 state.

    As bad as Holyfield looked at times, Bowe was not exactly killing him through the whole fight (as the 92 version would have).

    In retrospect, it's easier to see this, but at the time, a lot of people just looked at it as Bowe winning the rubber match and building momentum towards another title run.

    They did the same to me...and deprived me of seeing Ali-Frazier III every week.

    Your right. Personally I thought both guys were the loser in that fight as neither really showed they were on top of their game. Nevertheless I still have the trilogy enshrined on my office wall.

    That it was tough to tell when Holyfield wasnt actually well prepared for a fight, and there were fights he didnt train hard for. He just never looked soft or out of shape.

    I'm not one of them. I thought Holyfield won the fight. Was the more deserving winner. But I agree, Bowe could've gotten the decision.
