I like prime Bowe. Bowe was such a talented fighter and when he was younger and focused he was a pretty complete guy that could beat a guy multiple ways.

Ike looked the part no doubt and had some big wins over Byrd and Tua which is really impressive considering how different those two were. He was talented as hell but my money would be on the Eddie Futch trained in shape Riddick Bowe in this one. He simply was the more complete guy. I like him by decision especially after seeing the beard that Ike showed against Tua.

I went with Bowe by decision. He had the chin and stamina to take Ike’s best while also having the size, power and infighting game to dish it back. He’s also more proven as a pro

Bowe with Futch would have beaten Ike. This Bowe could box inside or out, had great skills, was faster, longer, and simply a better fighter.
Ike’s chin might have held up, but Bowe would beat him up.
The 1996 bowe however would get stopped IMO.

Did we ever see Ike win as the smaller man? Not sure how he would have dealt with Bowe's size and strength.

I agree. By 96' Bowe was shot. Not only was he not training and dieting properly but he was clearly in the early stages of CTE. He was starting to slur his words and look slow in the ring. This is a guy that had a lot of amauter fights and had a rep for hard sparring in the New York gyms. He was so fast for a big man when he was younger.

I really feel like prime Bowe is one of the better heavyweights we have seen in boxing history. He had it all.

Definitely. Never saw a guy over 6'4 who could fight on the inside like Bowe.

Damn right. Do you think there is any heavyweight who would be favored over the bowe of the first holyfield fight?

I honestly think that version of Bowe could have beat Lennox Lewis. I still think Lewis was the better fighter overall though. Lewis certainly had a style and focuse that help him have longevity. With that said, prime Bowe was a hell of a lot of fun to watch.

If both fought in 1992, I would pick Bowe over pre Emmanuel steward lewis, better chin, speed, and inside fighting skill.
In 1996, the Emmanuel steward Lewis would IMO have stopped Bowe. If both fought at their best, mmmmmm. 50/50 fight.

Ali, Holmes and Louis. Although those are really the only ones I'd be confident in picking. It's possible Foreman or Liston score the KO.

I can think of quite a few.... including the Holyfield of the 2nd fight.
