Give me your 174lb fighters name Holyfield struggled against.

If struggling against a smaller fighter is a legitimate charge, then we have to put his cruiserweight fights on the table as well.

    Eric Winbush?
But yes, lets take a further look at CW: Dwight Qawi had a 15 pounds on Billy Conn :risas3:

Janitor, I´m getting tired of your screwed up double standards.

Well Qawi was 5' 7'', had a significant career at light heavyweight, and held Holyfield to a SD.

If struggling against a smaller fighter is a black mark, then this can hardly be overlooked.

What goes for Louis has to go for Holyfield!

This sounds more than a tad insulting. If you misunderstand or cannot accept a theory please don’t resort to insults.

Bowe and Holy being able to beat each other for their best wins still won’t change that anything else on either mans record isn’t actually better than anything Louis did.

    Good Lord!
    • "Smaller": Qawi in that instance had 4 pounds on Holyfield
    • Holyfield never ever in his life fought against a fellow 24lb less than him
    • Qawi at CW was 15lb heavier than LHW Conn
    • Conn started at 135, Moorer at 172
    • Conn fought tons of times under 160 and maxed out at 18X
    • After unable to make 175, Moorer never ever fought under 214 again
    • Which is the exact same weight of both boxers that night, Holyfield and Moorer (214lb)
Selling Louis 24lb weight-advantage over ex middleweight Billy Conn as an analogy of "Evander Holyfield vs Michael Moorer both at 214lb" or same weight "CW Qawi vs Holyfield" is in fact such a torsion of common sense, that it should be obvious for anybody to see that this can´t be the attempt of a double standard. I simply don´t buy a perceptual boxing disorder like that.
Its either purpose (a scam), or a self-deceit in order to maintain faith. Whatever problem you have, I´m out for this shyte.

Qawi an Moorer had methods of bulking unavailable to them, that were not available to Conn, but that does not mean that they are not blown up light heavyweights.

They were still fighters who fought a significant section of their career under 175lbs.

Sure they had added a few pounds of muscle, which would have made them stronger in the clinches, but it is not going to make their chins any better.

Also, weight is not the only variable in a fighters size.

Holyfield had seven inches in height on Qawi, which I am sure you would have made an issue of, if it had been Louis.

I would suggest that you are employing a double standard, by attacking Louis for struggling against a great light heavyweight champion, while defending Holyfield for losing to one.

God knows what any of this has to do with how either of them would fare against Riddick Bowe anyway!

    Stop this crap.

At the time Moorer couldn´t make LHW anymore (23) and boxers were drained to the bones, Conn wouldn´t even fight at SMW.

How the fukk are you guys pretending Michael Moorer and Billy Conn beeing same size LHWs ?
Going that low for trying to make a point  ?

Who's acting like they're the same size? The one going low the one trying to misrepresent Conn as some form of tiny fighter because he started below LHW. Moorer was about 10lbs heavier than Conn.

Who´s playing dumb ? Who misrepresented Conn - Lous with Moorer - Holyfield, when Moorer fought at the exact same weight as the former CW champ did, at a HW 214 lb ?

Who´s climbing on that train (liking posts), but keeping eyes shut ? In a "Would Billy Conn move up to HW like Moorer did in the 90s ?", who would make himself look like an idiot again ?

Who repeadetly distorted the facts over and over again ?
    .....

Who's asking rhetorical questions? Who has eschewed declarative sentences, hoping that the audience will understandt that their questions are intended as assertions? Who are these individuals?

    Who indeed?
