I personally think Lewis would have almost always had the better of Bowe. Lewis was the naturally better athlete, physically stronger, better jab, better right hand, better defence and better foot work.

Had the fight happened in 93 I'd definitely favour the Lewis that beat Tucker over the Bowe that lost to Holyfield. If Bowe struggled with the movement and jab of Evander, he'd be in bigger trouble against the movement and jab of Lewis. That combined with the size, strength and power of Lewis would likely see him stopped by Lewis.

What sways me in Bowes favour is the right hand, Bowe threw a very good overhand right, probably his best punch.

A punch Lewis was susceptible too and would go on to be knocked out by, twice.

I think Bowe was the better athlete with the better jab, movement and boxing ability. Lennox was dangerous and could hurt Bowe but Bowe was better seasoned earlier on. Bowe had the better fundamentals. '96 on could be a different story. Prime for prime Bowe takes it.

You're living in a dream world.

Lennox foot work was so poor around that period he was tripping over his own feet.

Thats not some false critique , he crossed his legs countless times. That Lewis that beat a near 40 year old , shot to bits Tucker got poll axed by MaCall -

by throwing sloppy punches , bad positioning and leaving himself open by keeping his hands down low.

Lewis and his useless trainer Pepe ain't beating any Bowe with Eddie Fuch of 93.

Bowe of 93 was one of the most technically perfect heavies of all time. His foot work was as good as it gets. Lewis was still a work in progress.

No way no how does he beat that Bowe. Only around the Goltoa period would he have a chance.

The MURICAN wins in all these fantasy Heavyweight match ups from the last 50 years. Due to the simple reason, for the last 20 years they haven't won sh it worth mentioning.

Ffs are you people stupid? Don't you know they single handedly won WW1, WW2, The Korean War, Vietnam War, Gulf War 1, Gulf War 2, Afghan War, The War On Terror, The War On Poverty, The War On Crime, The War On Everything, including The
War On Any Other Fighter beating one of theirs.

Yes the Holyfield fights flattered Bowe's ability. Holyfield being a small heavy who liked to brawl, and lacking a truly big punch was perfect for Bowe to look good against, but even then Holyfield was able to exploit his flaws in the 2nd fight by not fighting Bowe as much on the inside and using more movement.

Bowe always struggled with a good jab and movement, he was unique in his proficiency on the inside for a tall heavy but he was poor from range for such a tall heavy as well. Biggs jabbed his head off, he struggled with the movement of Hide and Tubbs and of course Golota took him to school with his jab and movement.

Lewis being the best long range boxer of his generation at heavy, with one of the best jabs and one punch KO power would have been a bad style match up for Bowe. He'd have to eat a lot of leather to get into range on the inside with his poor footwork and open defence and with Lewis' power that's going to be an uphill struggle. Golota, Hide, Biggs all hurt Bowe, Bowe said Hide had him out on his feet, can you imagine what Lewis would do if he landed with that right hand.
