Bowe was hit solidly and often by almost every decent fighter he fought. Tremendous offensive fighter, but man...weak, weak defense. Tyson stops him late, or grinds out a points victory.

Here is a video with Bowe and Tyson, short clip. You can hear Bowe/Newman yelling at Tyson

Hard fight to pick, but has to be Tyson by late round knockout. 9 round knockout. Tyson might have to take some punishment to get his win.

Riddick Bowe really had the size and physical attributes to beat him
    -Hard jab
    -Tall
-Great on the inside i think that would make the biggest difference in Bowe winning- and not to mention a primer Mike got caught with some uppercuts coming in and if he did by one of Bowes i mean lights out. And even when Mike's on the inside he gets uppercut-ted alot

I don't think Bowe knocks him out though i think decision for Bowe after a hard fight with both fighters looking like they lost the fight

The KEY to this discussion is having a PRIME Riddick Bowe. The Bowe that beat Holyfield
in the first fight is one of the few times he really was in great shape and was willing to work to
be in it. Bowe is a bad matchup for Tyson. He has power, he has size, he has boxing skills and he
could take a punch. Bowe would have won this fight. Bowe beat a prime Holyfield. Tyson
failed twice with Holyfield (although neither was in their prime then, although I don't think any version of
Tyson would have ever beaten Holyfield due to the mental stability and heart that Holy aways had).
A prime Bowe is everything Holyfield and bigger and stronger. Unforetunately Bowe is the story of
a wasted boxing career. What could he have been? We will never really know, he cheated us out of
ever seeing that but failing to stay in shape.

There is a fairly ample number of HWs I'd pick to beat Bowe and a comparitively smaller number of HWs I'd pick to beat Tyson on his best night, however Bowe is counted among these select few and with good reason: the combination of Bowe's proven inside game and stiff jab would grind Tyson down physically at first and then mentally too, allowing him to finish off an exhausted and visibly disheartened Tyson inside the distance with a calculated flurry of hard shots. It would be a great fight but I think Bowe more than likely proves to be all wrong for Tyson.

I cannot see this in my head at all. Mercer did not have the punch fluidity to hurt Mike, he was rather robotic and straight up, and those guys did not work well with Mike.

Awesome fight. Might be the best heavyweight fantasy fight next to Louis-Liston and Dempsey-Marciano. Bowe had the size, power and skills to get a prime Tyson out of there. But Tyson would hit him just as often...

    Tyson KO 9 Bowe

Bowe took too many punches. I don't know if he had the chin to take what Mike would constantly be throwing.
