And I suppose if we shot Holyfiled with a firearm from the 1700's, the bullets would bounce right off.

He was too slow and really wasn't a one punch knockout artist. He had a good power but was more of a wear you down guy. To be honest, hes lucky to come in at the time the division was weak and filled with past their prime greats like Charles, Walcott, and Moore. ALL HIS SIZE as well. Had he stayed around a bit longer, then he would have eventually met Mr. Charles Sonny Liston and been knockout out early. Bowe is too big an skillful. If Holyfield couldn't stop Bowe, then i don't see Marciano being able to. Holyifeld is a lot quicker, counter puncher, better boxer, better skilled, as tough, faster reflexis, and stronger than Marciano. i see him being out boxed badly in this fight in every way. he has the ability to out muscle Rocky, out box him, out fight him on the inside ect. There is just no way i see him beating Bowe. Look past the hype and the weak era that he was in and will see it as well. In fact, i would favor quite a few fighters over Marciano.

I strongly disagree with your assertion.

Muhammad Ali- He was around 206-212lb at his best, so I dont include him in the list. If you want to include him, yes he had faster handspeed than williams

Bowe- He did not have faster hands than Williams, Williams hands were lightning fast, bowe didnt seem to have that fast fire in his punches like williams did.

    Lennox- See bowe explanation

shannon briggs- No way, Briggs hands are fast for a 260lb man, but not in the same class as cleveland williams

Corrie sanders- Everyday, more and more vitali Klitschko fans overate this guy. He had decent handspeed, but nothing jaw dropping like williams blazing fast tripple left hooks. He doesnt compare to Williams

    Tua- No

    Tommy Morrison- No way

    Larry Holmes- See Ali explanation

Personally i'd put both Ali and Holmes into the 210-215 bracket. Ali's last 3 fights before exile were all in this bracket and Holmes fought his peak years mostly in there as well.

What?! I disagree somewhat with every one of your points, but this is just absurd. Corrie Sanders had extremely fast hands. I'd say he had maybe the 4th, 5th or 6th fastest ever at heavyweight. Incredible speed. There is no way Williams was faster than him.

Jack, I just don't see it. Cleveland Williams whom I have 5 fights on film had faster handspeed than corrie. The thing is corrie sanders throws alot of arm punches which tend to look fast, while cleveland gets his full body behind every punch.

what about joe louis, nino valdez, bob baker, roland lastarza, rex layne, clarence henry, earl walls, Harry Mathews???

Bowe could stay on the outside and either outpoint Marciano or weare him down for a late stopage. Marciano has a chance on the inside but Bowe had a good enough inside game himself to negate any advntages tat Marciano would have. Outside of a knockout for Marciano I think Bowe would win pretty easily.
