Yes. although a HW Golota's size hit plenty hard.
But McCall? He is my vote for the Greatest Chin ever, but I do not see him on the level of a Tyson or Mercer...Who in turn are not "10"s for power like some others of the era, Bonecrusher, Morrison, Old Foreman, Bruno, Tua, Ruddock....

McCall was a great one-punch knockout artist. Lewis, Maskaev, Akinwande. I agree, he didn't hit as hard as Tyson or Foreman, but I would place him in top 5 probably.

I think Bowe at his best wins, late stoppage, maybe points.

You weren't at the Minter vs Antuofermo fight. You were feeding your pet zebra that day.

I don't care and didn't notice, but thanks.

Strange to put it in a thread about Bowe. Maybe put it in the offending thread, or even a PM next time?

What thread did I even say this in? Was this recent? You may very well have the wrong guy.

Really? I will keep an open mind, I do not claim to be an expert on his power.
But top 5 in absolute power all time? I cannot fathom that.

Even Tyson is clearly not top 5 among HWs just of his era, the ones I named & 3 he fought 5 times-Bruno, Ruddock & Bonecrusher, arguably Lewis-but the first 3 definitely, hit harder.
Which does not discuss overall skills, effectiveness in general or as a combination puncher, speed that amplifies effect because you cannot see or brace for shots.

Being even in the top 10 ever is extremely difficult, & I wonder if anyone else agrees about McCall?
Guys like Tyson & Joe Louis (guys he fought, Galento & Baer hit harder) are not even at that level of absolute force or power generated.

Again, effectiveness & punching skill with blistering combinations are another matter entirely.

    Whyte vs Povetkin

    Davis vs LSC

    Charlo vs Derevyenchenko

Use your eye test to the pick the winners in those 3, put your money where you mouth is, and retire a rich man.
