Excuses excuse. Jesse beated him twice. James Tony an obese middleweight pushing 40 boxed Peters ears off.

Definitely. Bowe has the ability to box his ears off n is much more talented but comparing Peters to a much smaller Holyfield aint it. I'm not calling Peters a Foreman or Wilder but his punching power is still nothing to take for granted. Bowe is not Pep, he will get caught and I'm not certain he's guaranteed not to get stopped.

He still whooped Jirov n Holyfield at higher weights and has never been stopped even into his 40s.

Are you serious right now? Name one person who managed to KO Toney. The guy had a chin as hard as cement and was a cagey defensive counter puncher. Chambers was a fast guy with good movement.

I am not saying Peter is an ATG puncher, but he can crack. He certainly hits harder than guys like Tubbs who is arguably Bowe's 2nd best win. Bowe has a severe lack of aggressive punchers on his resume.

Bowe would win but Peter may have his rare moments he was a big hitter and had a great chin the bombs he took from Wlad first time they fought was amazing. Bowe was hurt by Hide and dropped by Evander so Peter could hurt him but likely takes a fair beating.

I'd be tempted to wager that Herbie Hide could punch harder than Peter, and Hide caught a rather ragged Bowe clean, on several occasions, during their clash. Bowe might not have merely walked through all of those connects, but he was never in deep trouble from them. That's enough for me to have a reasonable amount of confidence in Bowe's chin.

At the same time, while Peter had good power, it is often and quite grossly overrated.

Suffices to say that I don't think any version of Peter had the power to trouble the best version of Bowe, although one could bet on him having a good go at doing so since, at his peak, he was a great competitor. Conversely, I think Bowe would find Peter easy to track and time, such was the crudeness of Peter's offense, while Bowe's own offensive prowess would have a field day on a fairly open and relatively immobile target.

This fight has a Bowe rout written all over it, IMHO.

I think Bowe dominates this one. Could have outboxed him or beat him up on the inside, especially with that uppercut. Bowe ruins him in 8 rounds or less.

Agreed. And I’ll also ad that Peter was in horrible shape for the chambers fight. Like he didn’t even train. In the first Klitschko fight in 2005 he was built and fought a very good match

Ones sided but exciting slugfest similar to the Bowe-Coetzer fight.

Yep. Coetzer was big and tough and relatively skilled but not a big puncher. Peter would have less skill but much much more power. When you're a walking target like Bowe it's a bad idea to fight big hitters unless you really have to.

Where is Peter's rep as a "Puncher" coming from ? By stopping certified 100% glass Jeremy Williams and Pure China Oleg ?

Bowe would ko those two in one night.

Peter punches way to wide to be a threat to Bowe, it would be a reply of the Gonzales fight, a one sided beating.

I am absolutely convinced that Bowe would flat out stop WK from the Peter fight

Repeatedly dropping Wlad and hurting Toney might have something to do with it. All of his opponents have said the same thing about him.

You could play the same game with Bowe. He tko'd a medically unfit version of Holyfield and never stopped anyone else who was worth a damn.

He did knocked out Coetzer with a punch to the nut followed by a huge bomb to the temple :D
