Riddick Bowe vs Tyson Fury

it's just he has Never fought or been in tough fights like LL, Klits, Bowe and a whole history of HW Boxing, never, bar Wilder.

Fury has never really been tested, he has fought so few.

Hey it’s possible! And for what it’s worth I think prime Bowe (92-94 Riddick) was better than prime Lewis. So if anybody had a shot at beating The Gypsy king, he was one of them. Prime Vitali in my opinion was another. But that’s a different debate.

But I just lean towards Fury and his 6’9 270lbs awkward and crafty style over Riddick. 60/40 imo. Would have been a fun one. And you’re right that overhand right was nasty.

 

Why do people always talk of deon he is trash its other fighters fury fought who had real skill

Fury thing to keep him down is combos when he did fall combos hurt him worst then single shots

Wilder looked like more of a Champion during those last two Fury fights than he ever did as actual Champion (certainly much moreso than AJ, Byrd, Ruiz, or Valuev ever did) . He displayed the kind of heart that nobody today except Fury has...probably nobody since the Klits. He is also undoubtedly one of the top few, Elite punchers in the history of the sport. No, he wasn't the ATG Lewis or Holy or Tyson was, but he was a really good win for Fury, especially the third fight, which led the latter's actual entry into the hallowed top 20 ATGs.

 

As I said deon is trash and fury fought people with real skill i never bring up deon on any topic for that reason its makes no sense to mention him when fury as I said fought people with real skill and smoothness of movement

Especially if we're talking about a h2h match with fury vs anybody who is skilled which deon isn't how can anybody compare him to somebody in a h2h when deon would be outboxed easy by lots of people or just koed

Deon is a street fighter ver of shavers who im not very impressed with either has power but what else? Yea deon has heart i give him that and he can take a beating he is like a real life balboa just without the skill and polish

When prime Ali was going around, his speed and mobility was being compared directly to that of a lightweight even.

Hyperbole of course but the point was Ali was ridiculously fast of hand and felt of foot absolute, no mental adjustments for his size being necessary.

I think Usyk is an excellent fighter, I’m immersing myself more into his CW career - so far , I’m not seeing the attributes that some suggest put him into a tough, competitive fight with Ali - so maybe I’m missing something and I’m happy to be proven wrong or better illuminate myself.

Aside from skill set, Usyk’s competitive spirit, heart, confidence, chin and overall durability is the stuff of an ATG. His character is also left of field - which I very much like. In those regards, he and Ali are very much kindred souls.

Totally off point but have you seen Usyk’s Mrs? Very nice imo. Some might say Oleksandr is punching above his weight there also…haha, I am kidding. Good luck to him.

 

I agree with you Bowe never showed he could deal with a good big man, and Bowe had issues vs fighters who fought him on the outside. But if Wilder can catch Fury and floor him 4 times, I think Bowe who has better boxing skills. And an overhand right which is good vs taller opponent, would be a threat in the fight.

I enjoy Bowes fights a lot more than Fury’s…but Fury is better. Fury takes a clear but hard fought decision

I like Bowe but he was too easy to hit. Think it would be similar to the Golata fight minus the low blows.
