Riddick Bowe was the king of the heavyweight division... back when it was in its dominant era in the 90's... a prime Bowe would flatten Wlad!

Before he beat Holyfield for the title (triggering the downhill spiral of his career, due to his inability to cope with his newfound fame/fortune and of course.. cocaine and Krispy Kremes), Bowe was an absolute monster. The voting in this poll proves how young the fans on this forum are. Most of you guys are probably under 20 huh?

I feel sorry for the dumbasses that think the Bowe that fought Golota was Bowe in his prime.. I can't believe there are some that are saying he was "never that good".. You ******s need to be bitchslapped, taken out back, beaten and fed to the rottweilers for your idiocy.

It it were still the 90's right now, Wlad would be at gatekeeper status :deal

Klitschko wins. And I'm not even a pro klit fan.
Of course , ANYTHING can happen in a fight. Bowe could pull the upset and land a bomb out of nowhere. You never know.

But wlad losing against a guy like this would be an "upset" in my book.
Because klitschko has the better technic.

If a mentalmidget such as Golota was able to do what he did to Bowe , then Wlad has his chances too. Golota was dominating that guy and the only reason why he lost both fights is because he's mentally weak. (maybe insane ? )...

Would be an interesting fight though...

90's era wasn't anything special either.
Actually most of the so called "dominant" eras are extremely overrated.
which is kinda funny because now , most people are calling today's era the weakest. Maybe it's because unlike the previous ones , not a single american is dominating it. So the pill is hard to swallow.

    LOL..

I guess Riddick Bowe's career started with Golota..

Don't comment on fighters you've never seen (or have only seen at the tail end of their careers).. please..

    No it didn't.
Golota just exposed him pretty much like Douglas did against tyson.

So the Wlad's, Sultan Ibragimov's of today can hang with the Tysons, Holyfields, and Lewises of yesteryear? Get the f out of here!

who wouldn't even be concidered to be a HW by today's standards.
and the only reason why the great Ali won was because his ass was saved by his smart corner who gave a bull**** excuse to give his fighter several minutes to stop the fight.

That's an interesting statement. What do you base it on?

Because Golota had a good jab & he beat Bowe's ass twice. Wlad's jab is better than Andrew's & he has more power and a better chin.

    Wladimir by KO in 5

Bull****. The first version of Bowe that got beat up by Golota was out of shape but the second version was in much better shape. Same result. :deal

Posters here are always claiming Bowe was great & never realized his full potential.

This would be a great fight.

If Wlad boxes from range and stays out of trouble he can win a UD. He has a faster, more powerful jab and is great at picking apart a guy from range.

However, if he gets up close with Bowe, his total lack of inside fighting would mean he gets hit by counters. Bowe would get in the pocket and look like James Toney, hitting him with all sorts of counters, and Bowe had KO power in his day, he would've hurt Wlad with his UNDOUBTABLY dodgy chin badly.
