What intelligent criteria for list heavyweight greats. I presume your top 5 is 1 Gandhi 2 Mother Teresa 3 Riddick Bowe 4 Santa Claus 5 Jesus H Christ Lets hope Audley Harrison never opens a door for you, or tells you, you have a nice shirt....as that would surely make a mockery of the lists you compile. .
Because the gifts that one receives from Santa are far more tangible, whereas Christ works in mysterious ways, and his gifts are not always so obvious. In order to rate Christ higher, one has to have faith and see beyond material posessions. Not everyone can do this unfortunately. That said, my morality list looks something like this 1. God 2. Jesus Christ 3. Mary 4. Joseph 5. Mosses 6. St. Peter 7. Mother Theresa 8. Santa Claus 9. St. Patrick 10. The guy who invented Pizza
Because Santa is still doing his stuff today. Jesus' best work is just exaggerated by old timers, who never seen him in action just read about it.
My Point is people are laughing the same way at bowe too. but anything can happen. foreman looked awful in his comeback fights too at the beginning
You know what chris I used to be a huge fan of wlad klitschko until ESB wlad nuthuggers tragically turned me against him.
Yes, but the key difference is that Bowe's health has been documented as being subpar for a fighter returning to heavyweight boxing. If you listen to some of his interviews, there is a big diffence in his speech between 1992-2002. He has most likely suffered some brain damage whereas Foreman didn't. Additionally, Foreman's comeback was succussful due to his vastly improved defense and monsterous punching power. Bowe's defense is atrocious, and while his power was significant, it was nothing like Foreman's. Lastly, Foreman was 39 years old when he returned to the ring, whilst Bowe is now something like 42. The facts don't ad up in favor of Bowe being successful. The last time Bowe tried to get his career going was in 2005 when he barely took a split decision over the very mediocre Billy Zumbrun. That was three years ago, and I don't see him doing any better now. Of course, we don't know what will happen until he's fought a few matches, but frankly I think a comeback at this point is a big mistake.
In fairness to Bowe, Foreman was out of the ring for ten year though, and Bowe has not had any type of layoff like that. So, the ring rust is in no way comparable. However, I do agree with you in regards to Bowe's health. It he is brain damaged in any way, then it would be a travesty if he were allowed to fight again. He looked like crap against Golota in both fights, and in his last fight against that journeyman fighter, he looked like a washed up palooka! The guy has to have a boat load of money in the bank. I don't know why he would want to fight again. What ever happened to the rumors of Bowe getting involved with the MMA? Maybe he could land a big money fight against Kimbo Slice! haha
Participating in MMA would end in an even bigger tradgedy for Bowe than in boxing. As for his financial status, I'm not sure what he still has left, but I think Mendoza or someone here mentioned that Riddick is aledgedly broke.
