Most will pick Bowe as will I. But I can see this being a pretty fun fight for as long as it lasted. Probably go with Bowe by stoppage but after an entertaining slugfest for about 8 or 9 rounds.

I think Bowe vs Mercer would have been a great fight and a better thread title.

Bowe vs Peter ? You got to be having a laugh..

Only interesting if Bowe sleepwalks through the fight like the beginning of the Bert Cooper fight. Otherwise Bowe beats on him like a drum until he stops him.

I agree Bowe wins but I think it can be competitive for a while. Peter was tough.. Could hit hard. And Bowe's defense wasn't the greatest.

If Bowe doesn't use his jab as his primary weapon and tries to brawl with Peter, ol' Sam could clean his clock. It's Bowe's fight to lose. Box and win, brawl and lose.

Out of shape Bowe wins lopsided decision or late KO. Prime Bowe stops Peter mid rounds. Bowe is superior in every way to the strong, but limited, Peter.

I think this would be a fun a fight too I often wonder how some of the 90's heavyweights would deal with the Nigerian Nightmare. I feel like Bowe in his prime would get much the better of Peter in an exciting fight, I think Bowe might get him early or would club him out around the 5th or 6th round.

Peter if he was around in the 90's I think he would've been in the mix perhaps even captured a belt like Seldon or Bruno did but I don't see him getting a W against any of the top guys like Bowe, Holyfield, Lewis, Tyson, Moorer I'd even strongly favor Old Foreman over Peter.

I could imagine him beating Moorer not the others fighters you mentioned though.

It would be a foul fest and would feature both men rolling around on the canvas several times, probably not from knockdowns.

I will state this, Bowe didn't go out of his way to face the harder punchers around. Maybe he and his braintrust knew something.

I could also picture him upsetting Moorer but I think a more likely scenario would be something like the Bert Cooper fight where Peter rocks Moorer maybe has him on the canvas but Moorer comes back to win. I feel Moorer is far superior and should beat Peter no problem but because of his complacency I could see Moorer getting into trouble against Peter...I think Peter and Tua would have a really good fight.

Peter could've beaten Tua with the jab, crazy as that sounds.

    Peter, KO 1,,,,,,

ok fine I am joking, listen Peter wasn't horrible like some say,,,

Bowe can have a super short prime why cant Peter??

The guy was big and powerful and coming up before he met the Klit's he had a string of good fights, plus he fought really well in the first Klit fight vs Waldo especially,,,,,,He was one of the few guys that could get the better of Waldo in the clinch and pushing portion's of the fight, I could see this giving Bowe a difficult time as well

regardless, I would take Bowe in a decision if forced to choose.
