You may want to watch a few of Skeltons fights. Skelton as amazingly crude as he is would be a terrible matchup for Haye purely because of his style. He`s rough he fouls alot he clinches alot and he uses alot of dirty boxing. He would be in Hayes grill all night. Haye doesnt have the soundest chin in the world or the best fundamentals so it depends entirely on which Haye turns up. If Haye can learn to box behind his jab and keep his right hand high he`ll go places. If not then C and B + fighters like Skelton will knock him out.

Thats not true. Willams has wins over Kali Meeham and Konstantin Airich (who I never heard of before the fight, but did seem to have some boxing skill). Both are clearly better than anyone JD Chapman has faced, check out his record.

Thanks Christ for that!!!! I was reading this thread thinking surely I'm not the only one who couldnt face watching another terrible Skelton fight !

He is responsible for the three of the five worst fights I have ever seen, he makes John Ruiz looks like Ali ( the night of the Cleveland Williams fight ). Fair play to Skelton no amatuer career , advanced age and all that but there is NO worse fighter out there to watch than Matt Skelton.

Haye should avoid the British HW scene at all costs, its the Bermuda Traingle of boxing. Once you enter in to it , you never leave. You just spend the rest of your career in an endless round robin of boring fights with Skelton , Sprott , Williams and Harrison :tired

Haye's choice of opponent is a farce. Skelton is a far more proven fighter who has fought at a higher level than Chapman. To talk constantly about a top 10 Heavy and dismiss Skelton as not good enough is fine. To then announce a total nobody who has fought complete cans as your "top ten opponent" based on one ranking with one corrupt body, but someone who is totally unknown and not in most peoples top 20 is a joke.

It might not be Hayes fault, but he ran his mouth and has made his ow bed. I was going to go to the fight even if it was someone over the hill like Rahman etc...but there is no chance I am paying to watch this.

Stacy Goodson who promotes Chapman reckons Chapman could be retiring due to the sports politics.

This thread says he's retired too or kinda anyway, Stacy goes Into some ****ing kind of speech In every post he makes. It's like he reads the constitution before posting.

It's been my misfortune to watch most of them. I'm not bloody repeating the experience.

**** off Frank with your British HW triangle ****.

If Frank had his way it'd be Haye vs Skelton and the winner faces Williams and the winner of that faces Harrison and the winner of that has a rematch with the loser of the first fight.

Skelton could always fight on Haye's promotion, Skelton Vs Chagaev was a Kohl promotion so he won't be part of the HW triangle then.

 Cant really disagree. Although his demolition of John McDermott was mildly amusing.

Some of you are over paranoid of fights probabilities just because It's Frank. Yes there was nothing to lose but Skelton gave It his best and could win the European title which he could be fighting against Vidoz for.

Skelton lost but It was closer than what the cards were and Chag struggled, would be a good start for Haye. Haye would prefer padded Arkansas fighters like Chapman though who has just retired.

Nah, I dont think somene as crude as Skelton is going to do much against Haye. You can't beat Haye by shuffling forward and hugging, Skelton is nothing more than 250lbs punchbag.

Haye is offering peanuts to the opponets.

Golden Boy say the standard fee for oppponets is $100,000.

But to coax someone to fight David Haye they are having more trouble and have at to up their offer to £250,000.

Hayes mouth cannot be backed up in actions.

Top 10 heavyweights like Rahman have fought for seven figure millions of dollar purses

Even John Ruiz got paid millions for his fight with Roy Jones

Why would a top ten heavyweight like that fight for relative peanuts compared to the money they have made in the past

Haye has not got the finicial clout at heavyweight to make the big fights it seems at the moment

    Lets remeber one thing

Haye's biggest payday to date by far - anywhere between £700,000 - £1,000,000 was only because FRANK WARREN agreed to give him the bumper payday to secure Enzo a shot at the Crusierweight titles

Although Haye is indepdent of Warren - the one time he fought under Warrens banner - Warren delievered him his biggest ever payday fighting in his biggest ever event at the o2 arena in front of thousands and millions of viewers

Apart from that Haye was fighting down the York Hall for £50,000 in front of a few hundred people

listen aussie - I'm not talking about the Klitshko fight that should generate alot of money and be Hayes biggest payday by far. I'm talking about him securing a top ranked opponnet now. If he is only offering $250,000 its no wonder that he can after all his talk secure a opponnet no one even ****ing knows. Hasim Rahman has probaly got several million pounds in the bank - why would he want to take a dangerous fight for a measley $250,000.

Dont get me wrong - $250,000 is alot of money to me - because I'm not rich.

But to a World Class heavyweight who has earned several million already - thats a poor payday for a dangerous fight
