I want to see if any of you guys heard of some silly fight predictions?

I know that i'm a victim of giving one out ... I had picked Gomez over Cotto ...

If you can provide the reasons why the poster made that prediction add that in too.

I picked Peter over Vitali via stoppage, the reason being Vitali had been put down in sparring a couple of time when trying to make a comeback before against Rahman. Add that to the injuries, his age and 4 year lay-off, and I thought he'd be too rusty, too slow, and his punch resistance would deteriorate.

miranda's middlewieght career. i though he was 160 champion emeritus.

and i also chose gomez over cotto. i though he was gonna be too big and too wide for cotto being that gomez has fought 168's and 174's before a 147 former 140 pounder shouldnt be a problem....but instead cotto boxed a brilliant fight to start and when he found out he didnt need to he swarmed gomez and took him apart.

hatton mayweather of course. i alway sthought mayweather but later on........i thought hatton could close the gap and keep floyd form jabbing and moving.

i thought amir khan had a pretty good chin when he started. he took a right hook very well from laszlo komjathi who bullied alot of top welters.

peter-vitali was just rediculas....i didnt realy think peter was good at all hadnt showed any punches, he was fat slow plodding and was getting taken apart by toney in the first fight but used his sheer weight to get the decision. vitali i just though was shot why not...but you coudl see that peter had nothign in it when he came to fight no snap nothing

One of the worst picks I made last year was Lyakovich v Valuev. I picked the white wolf by UD.

Mother ****er didn't win a round.

I was just going to say that picking Miranda over Pavlik was "ridiculous." However, I think the reason so many people made that call was that Miranda was getting a lot of hype at the time, and KP was still not well known. I knew that Pav would back Miranda up and knock him out, just like he said he would. However, we must also remember that HBO set up Pavlika/Miranda in order to make Miranda look good:patsch

The one that seems the most "ridiculous or odd" to me now was Inkin/Zuniga. Fulgencio had not fought in nealry a year, and took the match on 2 weeks notice, but our poll ran 62% to 38% in favor of Zuniga.

yeah but his hype was kinda deserved in a way. breaking abes jaw and stopping eastman, destroying willy gibbs who i had an eye on, and outboxing allen green is some very solid credentials. even tho it didnt create hard cash the hype was understandable. and as you have said pavlik was a streakign figther but jsut seemed to be a perfect sacrifice to the pantera god of war. a nice 30-0 record, had a nice ko of zertuche but still...who is zertuche? and had shown a nice entertaining set of fights.

but i remember in the chat room and i think reggie or somone said miranda is down and everybody just lol'd  "oh reggie you joker"....:patsch

    I Picked

    Tyson over Lewis
Hatton over Mayweather(Was PBF all the way till the first clash of heads a couple days before the weigh in.)
    Naz over Barrera

They're the ones that spring to mind, no doubt there have been more.

    I picked

    Campbell over Diaz
    Williams over Quintana II
    Quintana over Williams I
Latin Snake over the Viper I
Hopkins over Pavlik (I thought that Hopkins was going to get the KO)
    Pac stoppage DLH
    Mosley stoppage Margarito
    Hatton over Malignaggi
    Margarito stoppage Cintron II
    Clottey over Judah
    Williams over Margarito
    Lopez stoppage Ponce De Leon

I usually pick the right decision but often times i've made some stupid ones.

    Cotto over Margarito
    Hopkins over Calzaghe
    Jones over Calzaghe
    Gomez over Cotto
