ok thaeres fast tracking a fighter like rigo(won title in 10th fight was it?) or dlh(about the same amount of fights) then theres complete foolishness, whats the rush with this guy? rigo i guess had to get a move on as he was approaching 30 but this guy is 26 got at least 7-8 years of his prime ahead of him, a couple of years and he'l be a world champ imo but ridiculous match ups after 2-3 fights could completley mess his career up alot of people still dont seem to realise how diff the am and pro's are to one another
Wait and see, this guy is a master boxer. Lomachenko has been fighting in a pro style for years. He's 25 not 26. It's Lomachenko himself making this happen so quickly, he knows how good he is and he wants to create history.
i personally havent seen enough of him to make a judgment, just a few clips and going by the internet talk that has built up over the months, hopefully the guy is good/becoming great as it can only be good for boxing at the end of the day :good
Yeah, no matter what the match-up in skills I think Rigos greater familiarity with the pro-game unbalances the fight slightly. I couldn't give a judgement over which fighter would win, but if they were to meet, I'd want it to be on even terms (as it were), once Lomas a little more seasoned as a pro (say 6 or 7 fights down the line).
You don't think size is a factor? Lomachenko is bigger than Donaire and a hell of a lot more skilled. That's my main issue with the fight, Rigo is really a 118 fighter and Lomachenko is 126 at the lightest. Still the best fight that could be made in boxing imo.
