    No, that's ducking from Wlad.

It's "I don't want to fight you, fight my big brother instead". Playground logic.

The brothers are two separate fighters with separate careers and separate legacies.

Yes but Vitali is 39 years old and Wladimir is 34. It makes sense for Haye to fight Vitali first before he gets too old. Adam Booth even said that the WBC belt was more prestigious and Haye wants the WBC belt before the IBF/WBO. If Haye fights Vitali and then calls out Wlad and Wlad refuses, Wlad is ducking Haye. Haye can only fight one brother at a time. Why does Haye get to choose which brother he fights first? The brothers are ranked higher than Haye by Ring Magazine, Boxing Monthly and Boxing News. They get to choose.

Ok, so if Vitali/Haye starts being talked about, then we'll know what the Adamek/Wlad thing is about. If not, then it's back to more of the same ****.

It's a pain in the ass and it doesn't make sense at all from a fans perspective, we have 3 good HWs, and we can't get those guys to face each other at all.

I can't see how it makes sense from their point of view either, this would be the most money any of them could make, how can they leave that on the table? Just seems bizarre if it doesn't start coming together soon.

    Good post though shaunster

So that means because the Klitsckos are brothers and not going to fight each other they can cherry pick??

Haye never decided who he wanted to fight. Wlad was the only one avalible because of Vitalis mandatory.

Honestly I prefer the Vitali fight for Haye anyway.

The fact that PAC and floyd have contrived to miss out on astronomical money makes me wonder. I'd have said 'the money is too big, it has to happen' before but it's been proven not to be the case.

I am really pissed off at floyd, haye and the kilts for all this ****. They are happy to take the fans money but don't care enough to give them the fights they want.

Feasible theory but I don't think it's the case.

My theory is that Haye called out Wlad a few years ago, to make a scene and create a name for himself, and then used that to make three or four fights that would make him some serious dosh before he retired.

He's had those three or four fights now, got the pay days, and now he's entering into quasi negotiations with Boente to make it seem as if he wants to fight. They probably were talking about it, throwing figures about, but it's basically a sham and neither him or the Klitschko's are that bothered about fighting each other.

    Interesting theory Shaunster.

If you'd come up with it last year I would have not really believed, but as the talks seem to have been going on reasonably (by Hayemaker standards) quietly and have suddenly gone to pieces without an adequate explanation it does smell a bit.

To be honest I can't believe a word either party come up with.

As a very cynical person myself i assume anyone doing anything in the public eye (except for some of the breakdowns) is contrived and planned with the intent of getting more money out of the public and it is only the risk of sound like a fool that i havent said it earlier.
    1. People saying Haye hasnt got a legacy are making a mistake. He hasnt got a legacy at HW hes done plenty at cruiser.
    2. As they are at the end of their careers what do they have to lose from fighting?? IF they carry on this way bulding hype and fight at the end of 2011 what do they stand to lose other than possible further endorsements/sponsorships etc. which would be more than made up for in the name they would get internationally for actually fighting. For them win/lose they make a mint.
3.The flloyd/Pac thing is completely different because Flloyd makes a fortune already for every fight he doesnt need the slightly greater fortune to endanger his current pile of gold.

I agree with what you said, also,in regard to the pac/may thing, if Floyd genuinely believes Pac to be on something, then it's an entirely different kettle of fish and in no way comparable

    thats a fair enough logic

part of it also imo, is that wlad doesnt buy hayes retiring at 31 yet. the most lucrative market in the sport is the USA PPV market and both these guys wont even make a ripple in it as things stand. wlad sees his brother at 39 and thinks this fight can be built for another yr (as much as it pains us and hurts the sport) and make way more money. this and the ridding themselves of contracts and options makes some sense and hopefully (if optimistically) explains their poor competition. appear on HBO double header, bita trash talk, impressive ko's and this fight makes double the amount it does now.

....or else....someones ducking someone. who knows who, probably mutual

Then why did Haye renegotiate his Sauerland deal to give Wlad 50/50 as he said on the radio yesterday?

Not at all, your theory is perfectly plausible.
