Right, who do you want Pacquiao to fight now?

Why not? The same stylistic problems apply for Pacquiao when fighting JMM. If the fight were to take place at 140, maybe Pac has a better chance with his newfound pop, but I wouldn't write JMM off entirely. Pacquiao will always have trouble with counter-punchers and that isn't a slight on the guy- it just proves that he's human and every great has a nemesis. It's a very even fight at 135, IMO. I accept that it would be hard to market after JMM has just lost to the dude Pacquiao might end up not fighting; Pac will be accepting sloppy seconds in some people's eyes:-(.

Pacquiao would destroy Marquez up in weight. That was a long time ago in boxing terms at 130lbs which was probably Marquez's peak. Pac is built differently in the way he's explosive...he can fight anywhere.

I'd settle for Marquez if there's no possibility for Mosley or Mayweather.

It's possible, certainly. I'd favour a Manny KO at 140 though.

The weight would beat Marquez, not Pac ;)

like losfer said mosley vs pacquiao is actually the better, much more intriguing and competitive fight then manny vs floyd. in fact shane vs floyd is also MUCH better as he has more chance of beating floyd imho.

shane vs manny will be an awesome all action fight much like mosley vs trinidad would've been before Winky ruined the party.

Marquez has slowed down and is no more hittable, he is at least 1 weight division above his best and past his prime by a year-year and a half. Definitly not good signs when your about to take on arguably the best fighter in the world who has a massive punch. As much as i hate to say it i think Pacquiao will KO Marquez if they fight again.

Anyway marquez beat Pacquiao twice already they shouldnt need a trilogy

As I said, I think the fight is way more competitive at 135; JMM is at a weight comfortable for him and Pac's power will diminish as well (he didn't blow Diaz out at the weight). As I said, from that point on, the same stylistic problems crop up for Pac, IMO.

As for your second point, you know it:good.

It's the fight I've wanted for a while. It would be interesting to see how Floyd coped with a powerful, explosive man who is not deterred by the shots coming back his way.

    exactly!

Shane is athletic, wouldn't get hurt and has the ability to change the fight with one punch.
