Yeah, this is really his only shot. Hatton talked of constant pressure but it was futile from start to finish. There was just wrestling, no real inside damage. If Cotto can smother Floyd for 12 rounds (again, never been done) he has a shot at a UD. Floyd getting KO'd is probably an impossibility.

the only reason cotto can't beat him is because mayweather wont fight him.

Cotto's chin could take Judah's and Mosley's Pop, it sure can take Mayweather's. Saying he'll get hit by Mayweather is just stupid. What fighter goes into a boxing match and never gets hit? People should stop making Mayweather into a God and look at this fight as what it actually is" "The world's top two WW coming out to fight each other". Cotto has nothing to loose and Mayweather a lot to proove (first he has to accept the fight). It will be a great and close fight that can go either way. And this is coming from a 110% Boricua Boxing Fan!!!!!

I'm starting to lean more and more towards Cotto, as I watch their recent respective fights.

name anyone who comes close to floyd on Cotto's resume.

Also....be honest do you really think Cotto is on a boxing level with floyd??

Not saying Cotto isnt good he is a very good fighter but i ask you name something that cotto does better than floyd in that ring.

name cotto's weaknesses then name floyds.

Take their whole career and analyze it stop just using 147 if you dont see why floyd is a level above.

No one is disputing Cotto is the man at 147 not the champ but he is the man i give him that but thats it...Cotto cleaning out 147...Floyd's done that to his original weight so fighting everyone just about he has already done and remember Cotto hasn't fought exactly everyone at welter but thats technicalities if you chose to go that route, i for one think cotto is the man just not the champ.

If you analyze this without lettin ya heart get involved you'll clearly see Floyd in terms of boxing skills and career is on another level.

What the **** is the point you are trying to make?

Using your logic, we might as well not even discuss a Mayweather fight ever again, because he wins on account of his 'career' and 'boxing skills' :patsch

And why would we even ignore 147? The fight would take place at 147 Einstein.

There are a lot of reasons one could make for a Floyd win, these are very poor

    I'll take Cotto over Floyd.

I think it's a pick'em fight, but Cotto is making subtle adjustments in recent performances and is becoming a much more complete fighter. He has the power and heart to give Floyd one hell of a run, and I think he was what it takes to win.

Of course, a Mayweather decision is certainly plausible, and wouldn't really surprise me, but I think Cotto is much hungrier.

At 147, Cotto is at least on par, probably even a level above. This using your own logic, of what they have achieved

Mosley, Quintana and Judah, vs. Hatton, Judah and Baldomir...hmmm

Incidentally, I may be in the minority here, but I sincerely believe Mosley would beat Floyd, too.

Interesting. People try to downplay Cotto's win, by suggesting that he went close with a shot Mosley. Absurd, Mosley looked pretty damn good to me
