"Righteous headbutt": Why Andre Ward is a disgusting human being

    This post is not against fighters who intentionally break the boxing rules; fouling has always (saddly) been part of the sport; the saying "If you ain't cheating, you ain't even trying" remains as relevant today as in the past.

    Some people will even claim every champion that ever lived used dirty tactics (although i disagree with this statement).

    So, we all know Ward belongs to that category; he's clearly intentionally headbutted Kessler, and recently tried to take down Kovalev with a double leg lock. It's all on tape, going unpunished naturally, thanks to his bouts taking place at home in Oakland, or on American soil.

    The reason i'm singling him out in this thread is not his obvious fouling; rather, it's the fake, crass media promotion attempt by Ward to regularly portray himself as a righteous, humble, god-fearing champion, while the unimpeachable evidence clearly points to the exact contrary.

    I find there's something revolting and nauseating emanating from this kind of mindset and actions; Ward of course isn't the only one; but his frequent presence in the medias stigmatizes the problem of the current information monopolies and those who use/abuse them.

    I find disgusting the hypocrisy of these people, proclaiming unashamedly reality is defined by their representations/manipulations of the facts, rather than by individual common sense and judgement.

    Thank you Mr Ward for reminding us of it all, right in our face.

    The thing that annoys me most about Ward, team Ward and alot of his fans are the way they put him on this pedestal of being 100% whiter than white.

    I agree that ward is a cheat and quite duplicitous in how he carries himself in that regard, he is also absolutely horrible to watch. the two combined probably explain why no one outside of a few fans on here and a small gathering in oakland have any interest in watching him fight. even the us fans, usually loyal to their top fighters just arent interested in him.

    having said that, as with all fighters, this is a man who gets punched in the head for a living, so im willing to forgive and understand that sometimes they can and will act strange. its also a pretty corrupt business to say the least, to expect honesty and 100% integrity from fighters when there is none from the parasites supposedly governing the sport is unfair.

    Ward really came across well when he was in the uk recently, hard not to like someone like that, then at other times he just acts like a complete weirdo or behaves in a really spiteful childish manner.

    then of course, there is the kessler issue, that was not boxing, what he did that night has no place in boxing. he should have been suspended for that, yet it isnt even mentioned.

    You've got to ask yourself this, when was the last time you saw other top P4P fighters in a fight that was a borderline wrestling match?

    I cannot recall the last time I saw Lomachenko, Canelo, Golovkin, Rigo in a fight that was basically nit only ugly to watch but also a clinch fest and you can't blame Kovalev as 90% of Ward's fights are like it.

    Wlad Klitschko did plenty of dirty things but he gets praise around here like a God.
