Whilst I'm far from Ward's biggest fan, for some of the reasons you've said, I think you're going a bit far! Like you said over the years many boxers have proven themselves to not exactly be shining lights of humanity both in and out of the ring.

The holier than thou out of the ring crap annoys me but he is an excellent fighter, maybe not exciting in a KO artist way but great adaptability and mental strength.

I dunno I guess I just find it easy to separate the man from the boxer. If I were to judge rock and sport stars by whether or not I think they are good people there'd be very few left I like! In fact in those type of professions I think a little bit of ass hole can go a long way.

I draw the line at Adonis Stevenson though, that man is a grade A C-word.

Rodriguez was a gimme who in turn got bombed out in 2 rounds a couple of fights later.

The difference is was Wlads fight ugly for 2 rounds?...of course it was but he ended the fight early when he wanted to......Ward treated us to 12 repetitive rounds of horribleness.
