"Righteous headbutt": Why Andre Ward is a disgusting human being

I don't think Ward is acting like an SOB at all. But to each his own. God or no God, head butt or no head butt, Ward gonna beat Kovalev!

 

Like him or loathe him you can't deny that if all fights went down like Wards then boxing would be dead,shame cause in lesser fights he doesn't do any of that and boxes beautifully,in big fights he's found a way to win by stinking the joint out,if it was pure inside fighting where he's nullifying the other guys power then fair play but charging head first after a single jab n tying up is not pound for pound stuff of legend and I believe this is why he was so upset that the media backtracked on that moniker.

If Krusher knocks out Ward none of this will matter. I happen to think he can... he badly hurt him in the first fight with a punch which, if you look, didn't land clean but with the inside of the glove. If he connects properly there's every chance Ward doesn't get back up. Kovalev can take all the factors you worry about out of the equation with his infamous power. You should have more confidence in your man.

Will the judges cook the books in Ward's favour should it go the full 12? Well they didn't do a a great job in the first fight. Had 'their man' got dropped in the last round, Kovalev would have got the decision. They left themselves no wriggle room if their intention was to guarantee a home town decision...

 


To be fair I wasn't being that defensive just trying to make a joke of it.

What I'm saying is I even agree somewhat about Ward, he's a bit of a dick. Just that him being a hypocritical ass isn't worth getting that worked up about. The people calling him disgusting are overreacting IMO.

I think my point about Stevenson being an objectively worse person by a large margin was obvious, so when you pretend to not see that and reply in a frivolous manner I react with exaggeration and sarcasm.

If you want me to flip the pretend reasonable devils advocate trolling back on you, what's your logical basis for thinking hypocrisy and self serving self delusion are such deplorable traits that this one man should be set apart from the rest? Do you not see this frequently from many people in all walks of life?

 

hes a great guy. outside the ring hes great.
and hes not in any way a horrible person

but .. yes not fan friendly. and dirty tactics. but hey . you do what you gotta do . nothing but love . if i could do it i would do it to. at the end of the day hes taking care of his family and doing a great job but yes . his fighting style i dont like and i dont really enjoy watching him. but he gets the job done every single time. ward knows how to win a boxing match.

i believe kovalev. delivered more pain and kovalev makes good point in 24/7 that when you fight the champion and its kinda close it should go to the champ. if you wanna take the champ out you gotta do it convincingly.

but that doesnt always mean your gonna win cuz it happens. i scored the fight 114-113 for ward. and idk how because watchin it kovalev was delivering the pain but ward just wins, some how hes scoring points constantly.

im thinking maybe in bias and like kovalev some much better. that i was being beyond fair. but idk man ward is very good at was he does you cant take that away from him.

ward has loyal fans in oakland that carry him . other then that everyone wanted kovalev to win. so yes thats a huge reason why everyone thinks kovalev won. most guys like me wont admit that andre was great and gave kovalev all he could handle in boxing terms you honestly believe ward didnt do enough to compete on the scorecards in that fight. even if so he holding n landin that bs body shot . the ref isnt there saying break so you throw n score points. and ward does those things great . he knows the judges n how they work hes scoring points.

 

I'm sorry but let's just call a spade a spade for once here on ESB. The reasons specified in this thread are not true reasons why you hate Ward and wish for his downfall. Ward falls in the category of these fighters. Floyd and Rigondeaux. Ward doesn't share any qualities to Floyd in personality so you can't draw a comparison there. Dude doesn't act out and is no way flamboyant running amuck or animated.

You guys hate him because he is dominant. A close fight equals an L or him. You hate him because he's one of the greatest and he makes guys who you all want to pretend are great like GGG, Calzaghe, whoever else appear as their true forms, that being good but not great fighters. Ward is another guy whose judged by his own set of standards apart from the rest.

The top people are always hated by the masses. That's just the way it is especially here in America. The more true to greatness you are, the more you're hated. But if you're a flavor of the month, Kim Kardashion like Tonda Rousey, Connor McGregor, Tyson Fury, GGG to name a few. This little craze happens. None of these people have stood the test of time but you automatically crown these people the best. It's hilarious.

Ward is the truth. He doesn't even Bible thump that much. You guys are reaching and you're just hating.

Your little G's and Calzaghes, Tyson Fury's will never never rank higher than Ward plain and simple. You're hate for him can't effect what he's accomplished. The guys you give passes when comparing their personal and professional lives is astounding. In fact there's no consistency and one can only assume irrationality.

Ward gets no love whether he's a humble guy or a bad guy. He's damned if he does, damned if doesn't regardless. This whole thread is a joke.

I made a thread about fake Christians in the lounge days ago if you guys want to really get down and dirty on this topic. Ward is not as fake as Manny Pacquiao. I can tell you that. Nor is he a POS like a Tyson Flip Flop Fury. You guys don't mind those type of guys at all it seems......
