Rigo and nonito met after the fight

The best thing he can do to grow his fanbase is learn english. This isn't Cuba.

Pacquiao wasn't a superstar until he learned english. Now he is a superstar. Rigondeux needs to spend some time learning english and start giving interviews in english. If he challenges Donaire in english and gives post fight interviews in english people might care what he has to say other than people on the internet with translators.

Finally he needs to fight more often. A guy who fights only a few times a year with a 9 win record doesn't deserve to fight a guy near the top of the P4P list. Rigondeux hasn't beaten anyone and he doesn't fight enough to build a fanbase.

I'd be a fan if he fought more often and tried to adapt to the professional boxing style but it's like he's stuck in a Cuban mentality. This is the USA and we expect you to go for the KO, we expect you to give post fight interviews in english after having been in this country for years, and we expect you to fight more often and earn a regular spot on HBO or ShoBox before challenging an established guy like Donaire.


Timothy Bradley had to do it, so Rigondeux has to do it too.

 

Rigondeux has to prove he is the best. He should fight that Japanese champion. He's so great and he's an amateur star so why doesn't he go to Japan and outbox him in front of the all Japanese audience and if he can do that then he can fight Donaire for unification.

 

All people are saying is that Nito won't fight Rigo which is true. Donaire doesn't have to fight him immediately but if he was a real champ he'd tell everyone he'd eventually take on the Cuban sensation. There can even be a tournament in their division which I'm sure everyone can be happy with. ND has never even hinted a challenge so it's pretty safe to assume he's ducking.

Let's rewind back in time a few years. What if Khan were to tell Bradley to **** off just because Tim is a boring fighter? You have to respect Khan for wanting to fight the best in his division no matter how big or small his name is.

 

Rigo would be the biggest win on nonito's resume if he took the fight and won IMO. I really don't see why Nonito wouldn't want the fight, would he rather face a battleworn smaller man in Arce with no title or an Olympic gold medalist and current world champion in rigo for a unification?

He is a Champ and wants to fight the best, there's no easy $hit here he wants it the hard way, fighting the best, I know you young ppl are not familiar with the concept of, to be the best you most fight the best, but believe me the media can hype you up until a point, then you really have to fight the best, like Pacquio pre-welter BS and catch weights, Barrera, Morales and Marquez

Well if that boxer with 20 or 30 fights is fighting cab driver and bums, I don't see why he should get an opportunity, but if a fighter with only nine fights and combined record of the opposition is 195 W and 51 L, and on top of that he is a World Champion, not to mention his others accomplishments then I'll say he doesn't need to fight cab drivers or bums because is obvious that he is that good, and to answer those "claimed 400 fights" I really don't know, what I know is that he is two times Olympic Gold Medal, 2 or 3 World Championships and new WBA 122lbs Champ, let me ask you a question, are u Canelo's fan?

problem is nobody cares that Rigo won the Gold. That's why he's fighting on FNF for chump change.

Rigo needs to drop the Cuban flag and go after Mexican or PR support since his cubans won't pay the bucks to make him an attraction.
