lets face it he is well past he's primce for 122 and as soon as he's reflexes start slowing down it could spell the end. the guy has wasted the last few years rejecting figghts and changing management and losing momentum. Hope jay z gets him a payday or two before he is done
He needs to move down to fight some real names rather than these mediocre fighters at 122. It's the worst division in boxing at the moment.
Damn shame that 17 fights and 8 title fights is all that he's got in considering he's been a pro for 8 years and a champ for 6 of them.
Wouldn't be surprised if he's actually 40+. He looks a lot older as me and I've passed the 40 mark some time ago.
yes he's former manager said he got multiple 7 figure fight offers in japan and elsewhere and turned it down and sat on the sidelines to ride out he's contract
What fights did he reject. LSC, Frampton, and Quigg all rejected fights with him as did Lomachenko and Arum.
gary hyde, check he's twitter and other social media, he also did interviews on this, says rigo is near impossible to work with
The Flores fight will show what he still has. Not really his fault his former promoter sabotaged him while he was still signed. It became viewed as om for possible opponents to act like bitches. (LSC, Frampton, Quigg) Rigs would have pummeled all of them.
He still hasn't fought anyone, his best win to date is a slightly past his prime and overrated donaire. He just didn't want to test himself, he never dared to be great.
