So because two fighters on an equal level had a close fight, it means someone else who is good beats them both in the same night?

    Laughable.

Rigo might well beat either of these guys, but it sure as turd wouldn't be straightforward.

Not as simple as that, but they both showed fallibility that would make them underdogs against someone like Rigondeaux. (who only ever struggles with guys he isn't supposed to but who stylistically bring a certain kind of consistent pressure...which is why I think Kiko despite being the worst of the bunch could trouble him more than either of his conquerors, Frampton or Quigg)

They both looked tense limited and average. Come do you think these are world class fighters?

Frampton-Rigo would be a good fight, if possibly a bit boring.

Quigg-Rigo would be a draw, because neither guy would throw a single punch the whole fight.

I think the OP was exaggerating to make a point.

Look I like Scott and Carl but I think tonight showed there not world class. They wouldn't be champs if it wasn't for the alphabet system. Rigo is clearly no 1 its just politics which are blocking him getting the props he deserves

Rigo punches harder than them, thats the main reason nobody can outbox Rigo. Once they taste his power, they go into airplane mode & let Rigo convince the world he is the smoothest boxer of all time. Easily done vs a buzzed opponent, who is no longer willing to do anything, but survive.

Agbeko & Donaire, both got discouraged by Rigo power.

I agree with the first part, but not about Kiko troubling him more.

as to the OP, it bothers me when you have 3 talented talented fighters and because A and B have a close fight, it means in some peoples eyes that fighter C comes along and dispatches both no problems. Baaaxin doesn't work like that.

Apart from the 12th round Donaire wasn't discouraged by Rigo's power. He was just thoroughly schooled.

Both Quigg and Frampton landed little in the first half of the fight, were tentative. Both would stay in the same shell for 12 rounds against Rigo. They would need a hypnotists to convince them to throw a jab

Quigg and Frampton are two glorified gatekeepers.

Not true. Donaire is a counterpuncher by nature. He sucks at leading. Rigo was a better counterpuncher and Donaire didn't have the offensive skills to change the fight.

Rigo couldn't even discourage a low-level opponent in his previous fight. Rigo is on the decline and is ripe for the taking by any high level fighter with a good offense.

Now that Rigo has decent money backing him, hopefully we can see him in some big fights.

His prime has been essentially been wasted by communism and then woeful promotion
