I asked Gary Russell jr how do you beat Rigo and he said keep the jab on him, and just understand you're gonna get countered at times. He said the moment you allow him to think and you drop your inactivity is when he picks you apart.

Watching last night I noticed that guys can't take head shots that well. He protects himself very well, and your only chance at beating him is taking chances and throwing punches with him or while he fakes. I think Donaire may be able to pull it off. I thought he could beat Doanire, but I think Donaire has the style to keep Rigo off balance, and break him away from his defense stance.

I'm still a big Rigo fan though. Wouldn't be surprised if Donaire calls him out after seeing that fight.

Why would Donaire fight him when there's much bigger money fights for him?

The problem is he can put you to sleep when you are "punching with him" and trying to get lucky.

I think Donaire is willing to take that risk. I think you can let your punch go when he's posing his punches.

donaire has already called out all the top guys in the division, just watching a fight has no effect on whether he says no or yes. Don't you understand that fighters pretty much don't care all the top guys have the most confidence in the world and will fight anyone.

Do you think this was Dawson's mindset prior to his fight with Ward. No it wasn't his mindset changed in round 3 when Ward put it on him.

I didn't need to watch Rigo's fight last night to know that Donaire beats Rigo, is it going to be easy, probably not, it will be a nice chess match but Donaire will win.

Rigo does have a belt, but yeah, Donaire has(somewhat) patiently let Arum build his career to where he is now able to cash in. Go back and look at all the people that thought Donaire was nothing and Vic D. did a lot better even after losing to Nonito. Vic is now a shell and Donaire is peaking.

With the contract problems and Rigo's last fight I see Arum possibly making this fight sooner rather than later. He knows Donaire wants to move up and was saving the division for Rigo. He may have second thoughts about that now.

I would just like Rigo to fight somebody good, if you go for a belt early in your pro career you should be fighting top guys especially with all the talent in the 122 lb division. And don't bring that other fighters are scared to fight him bull****, you bring that up and it just shows your ignorance.

Top Rank knows how to bring guys along. Last night we saw that Rigo might not be ready to step it up much more at the pro level right now.

So what if Rigo can be hurt? The question is..can you finish him? Floyd can be hurt. Ward can be hurt. Sergio can be hurt. It doesn't mean their rivals have a big advantage over them. People forget that Donaire's weakness is his defense. He was losing rounds which he wasn't suppose to lose against Mathebula. Rigo vs. Donaire needs to happen. I see no clear advantage for either guy. Stop being so damn nit picky. Both of them have weaknesses. The guy who does the better job at capitalizing off his opponent's weakness will win.
