Also this thread is from 2013 i still stand by my statement that version of rigo beats Loma. Rigo was much younger and better back then while Loma was losing to salido.

You ****ing fool what part of this thread is from 2013 don't you get? I became a Loma fan after he beat Russell jr. I also picked Loma to lose to salido but your agenda having was won't bump that thread.

You can’t be serious. In this hypothetical situation will you allow Loma to miss weight like Salido did if he were to fight Rigo?

Nothing Rigo showed in that fight proved he could compete with Loma and to top it off the guy quit. This would be a different story if it went the distance and was a close fight.

Rigo vs Loma would always have the same size discrepancy and horrible stylistic match up, Loma is just plain a superior fighter. Rigo lacks the physicality to do what Salido did and mug the faster better boxer.

I can't believe you're still rolling with this. I can only hope that I just don't get your sense of humour. Otherwise I think you'd make an excellent zealot.

All hail Rigo, the all conquering Twitter warrior who quit because he bruised his hand. Regardless of anything else the way your boy went out was utterly shameful. FWIW I didn't see that coming either, I thought he'd lose but never imagined he'd quit like that.

That's a fair question but I think it's safe to say that Loma schools any version of Rigo he's presented with. It's now abundantly clear that Rigo had absolutely no answer for the Ukranian's skills as exemplified by his totally capitulation as soon as he realised how good his opponent was.

There are guys I think we can pick to give him trouble/potentially beat him without going up to a silly weight class - Linares/Mikey etc - but Rigo is now never going to be one of them.

You can pick someone to win without being a fan. I've done it lots of times and whilst I acknowledge I have biases against certain personality types or people I think are gaming the sport I do pick plenty of fighters I don't like as people to win.

Somebody else posted the video on here. Loma did have a couple mice on his face in the interview post fight with his managers. What is wrong with pointing out his sensitive skin?

I never would have imagined that either.

I just bumped my own thread doubling down as a fan right AFTER the Salido fight.

No need to run from that L, because it helped him get that much better. Loma never complained about it- he took the experience & grew at a frightening rate. I'm still cool with people going back to it to knock him. The more they do, the more desparate they look.

It was clear he wasn't going to lose for a long, long time after that. It takes some guys 7 years to adapt to championship level. It took Loma 7 rounds. Some dudes were just in denial about what they saw and wanted, badly, to believe he was just a hype job.

Rigo was supposed to be this great boxer, one of the most skilled boxers ever etc. And Lomachenko just made him look like NOTHING. Lomachenko is something really special.

Loma is just a bad match up for him. This is not about size. Rigo got shut out 0-6.
If they were the SAME size and Rigo was younger then I could see him winning a few rounds which would still be 8-4, 9-3 type decision for Loma.
