Much ado about the same ... Lomachenkos Coach wants the advantage solely in their side, Rigo is proposing just to be fair ...
and they even let Loma to inflate up to 135 at fightnight ...

But the Rusians/Ucranians do not notice! What a surprise!

Lomachenko can barely make 126 let alone a catchweight.

He cannot physically make the weights Rio wants.

Catchweights are not 'fair'. There are 18 divisions (well 19 if you count 'Cottoweight') pick one and fight at the division limit. 'Catchweight' fights cheapen the sport.

Ok no problem, then propose the fight at 122, an official weight class ...

126 is a fair weight imo... rigo is going to have to move up eventually, why not now? Theres big fights to be made at 126 rather then 122.. frampton and quigg are the only guys there now...move up and take the challenge, or shut up and move on..

They only want to weaken Lomo.

Putting on a few pounds? So what. Even trying to shave a single pound when there is no where else to lose it from can be disastrous.

If you keep the rehydrating to an acceptable level then I can't see why this can't be at featherweight if they want to be fair. Rigo can come in at whatever he wants under 126 and as long as Lomo don't outweigh him by a huge amount come fight night, then how can there be a size advantage?

The Jackal is scared, because Lomo is king of the jungle baby.

Rigo : Golovkin :: Lomachenko : Ward ... in terms of proposed weight

Very odd for fighters to call out other fighters then demand they meet at their own preferred weight class. They act as if they are unaware what division the other competes at.

Golovkin called out Ward; he knows Ward fights at 168. Golovkin then demands 164 catch.

Lomachenko called out Rigondeaux; he knows Rigondeaux fights at 122. Lomachenko then demands 126.

I just don't get it. As for calling out fighters who fight below you, it seems just weird. It's up to the smaller weight fighter to call out the heavier fighter with the willingness to move up in weight. If the heavier fighter calls out the smaller fighter than he best be willing to move down to their division otherwise it's all just a PR fan grab stunt... I always say a fighter should be competing at whatever weight they are most comfortable or prefer to fight at. They aren't the ones who made 17 divisions and diluted the competition more than 50% from back when there were only 8. It sucks, but it is what it is. HOWEVER that isn't the case when you start publicly calling out other fighters and talking a bit of trash about it. Then you sort of need to back that up.

The morning after Walters/Mariaga, Lomachenko's team released a statement saying they were no longer interested in Walters because he was 127 pounds, 1 over, for the fight the night before. So his team will no longer accept Walters as an option because he was 1 pound overweight. Yet they are saying Rigondeaux is scared despite the 4 pound difference in the divisions they each compete? Hmm... I smell something that makes no sense whatsoever.

Are you consistent with that logic?

i.e. Golovkin, "one of the most avoided," and recent catchweight demand with Ward?
