Rigo should just cash himself out at this point

    Not his weightclass. It's really a shame that bantamweights have more heart and ***** than cowards like Santa Cruz, Quigg, Frampton etc.

    Gamboa was the one for me. He had an explosive, fan-friendly style and could have been a decent attraction. Top Rank really dropped the ball with him, especially by not making the fight v JuanMa.

    Rigo shouldn't move up a pound, wtf! Fight fans have gone mad, or are you really a fan? Rigo would be a tiny 126 lb, he is small at 122 ffs.

    Rigo needs to fight everyone in his class and just keep making his steady paychecks. He is only getting the hate because he is a small guy and general public doesn't like to watch two grown men the size of their preteen boys and the weight of a European woman fight in the ring.

    Rigs is a small 122 pounder at 5'2 1/2 to 5'3 max, and he has weighed as little as 122 in the ring on fight night, during some fights allegedly. It's a damn shame Frampton b!tched out, because Frampton would be the shortest guy he has fought in a while, Frampton is more Rigs size, and it would have ended in devastation for Frampton. People don't realize Rigs is always the shorter man in the ring. He always gives up height, reach, and weight on fight night.

    I've always loved watching guys from lower weight-classes (Finito is one of my all-time favourites) and I also appreciate defensive boxing ... but Rigo even tests my patience.

    Let's not pretend his lack of popularity is due to his size. Chocolatito has proven that small guys can still be popular. With Rigo's style, he has to do something spectacular to get fans (and the tv networks) back on side.

    I can't defend the Francisco fight, he shouldn't have taken a weeks notice fight if he wasn't in shape. Agbeko is usually a guy who will engage. For whatever reason, he pulled a Clottey against Rigs, but Rigs got blamed for it. The Amagasa fight was decent. It's too bad we can't get Rigs to fight with presence more often though. He gave that guy a real beating, after being knocked down, and then thrown down.

    Exactly. He stood in front of Donaire for a decent portion of their fight, and countered him. Was beautiful stuff. Guys like Frampton, who are more Rigs size, or a guy like Gonzalez, who is a power puncher, would get destroyed by Rigs. The guys that seem to give Rigs the most issue are the tall lanky guys, who seem to lull him to sleep with boredom and then give him a good wack or two, like Marroquin, and Amagasa did. Rigs doesn't seem to have a problem with any other style. He is getting older though, and if I had to pick who might finally topple him, it might be that tall South African kid Tete. He's tall and lanky, but not fluky like previous tall South African boxers, N'Dou, or Funeka at the lower weights. Tete seems a bit smoother, more like an Urban American boxer, yet at 5'9, he's considered a giant 115/118 pounder. He's definitely more skilled then tall lanky guys that Rigs fought previously like Cordoba, Marroquin, and Amagasa.

    Chocolatito better stay clear of Inoue, or Tete then if he is looking to fight Rigs.

    His only fault is being a Black Cubano.

    How so? Is he too slick for his own good? Too Black? Too Cuban? Feather fisted slicksters who weren't as good defensively, and didn't have the power that Rigs has, got airtime. Malignaggi, and Spadafora, right off the top of the head. They get hit a lot more than Rigs does though. If Rigs is matched properly, we wouldn't have this discussion. Just think if Bob Arum fed Rigs a steady diet of face first Latin guys. Just think how much bigger Rigs would be, if he was matched with Montiel, and Arce, instead of them being matched with Donaire. Just think if he had gotten Mares in the ring. He would have KO'd all three guys. They are all his size, and a style that he destroys. It's a similar issue that Walters is going through right now. There is no way in hell that he shouldn't be matched repeatedly with face first Latin fighters. You build a fighter up that way. Instead, Arum matches Rigs in weirdo type match ups. Puts him in line in the WBA, so he can fight for a title held by a 5'8 Super Bantam weight. Puts him in a short notice tune up fight against another 5'8 Super Bantamweight. Then tries to line up a fight against Then undefeated Jonathan Romero, a 5'9 outside boxer, yeah that would have been real exciting. Then Arum blames Rigs when the fights were lackluster. Put Rigs in with the Arce's, Montiel's, or whatever face first Latin guy that is available, and Rigs would be known as a much more fan friendly boxer. People weren't complaining when he was taking out the UK trash in the first round, or destroying Ramos, and Kennedy. The sh!t all started when he gave Donaire the pumpkin face. It's like there were a whole bunch of **** sore fans, that simply decided to hate. Bob Arum having the sorest **** of all.

    Very, very true. I haven't followed Solis in amateurs or pros.

    Lara = Farce
    Rigo = Put himself in this situation. This is the pros, if you want to climb to the top, you have to know how to fight, or offer something SPECIAL. Rigo can only win if he is allowed to fight his own fight, he can't 'fight'.
    Gamboa = Too undisciplined to make 126, 130. Looked appalling and tiny at 135 and got GTFO by a huge guy.
    Yan Barthelemy anyone? loool
