This is the biggest fight for a few years, very evenly matched and a real clash of styles. It could turn out to be a fight of the year contender or a very technical fight, but it is very intriguing.

What are the keys to victory for either fighter?

Here is the betting for the fight, what is the value bet?

Not sure I agree it's the biggest in a few years. Rigo is too untested as a pro for that, but nonetheless...

It's amazing how many of those picking Rigo seem to completely misunderstand Donaire's style.

Hopefully Rigo takes it on points, not too confident now though, hype is getting to me! I've been less and less confident as its gotten closer.

  8. I think donaires the business,he dominates his opponents with ease even top class with speed, power and his versatility
Rigondeux is skilled with explosive power and ring iq beyond his professional experience

But for me an even first 4 or 5 rounds will make way to nonito starting to catch up with rigo and making his tactics ineffectual with his hand speed and variety of angles bewitching.
Either a dominant down the stretch points win or mid to late ko

Complete misunderstanding of how Donaire fights. He does lunge on occasion, but he's also expert at stepping in and out of position to draw leads. He's actually most effective when he tricks his opponent into coming on to his shots.

I keep hearing things about how Rigo will make Donaire miss wildly, when Donaire is ruthlessly accurate and precise in his offence.

Fair enough, just didn't see anyone saying that in what you put....part from that one line of course.

I do get what they mean about Donaire lunging in though. It's not his style, but if he comes up against a fighter that tucks up and fights cautiously, or in Rigos case has allot of defenses skill he can lunge in. It's not so much with his hand but with his feet. Watch where his legs are in the Nazarez fight he is open to getting countered while of balance which would result in a knockdown.

Is it a case that Donaire did not respect Navarez power, or is that just the way he deals with those kind of fighters? Thats the question for this fight.

Rigo wins this for me. He brings everything to the table and the only critique you can give him comes from laziness. If he is motivated he can win this fight and actually make it look easy.

Chinny, one-handed, turns negative when at risk...

Donaire's as fast, if not faster, works combinations and singles well, and gets himself in position in impressive style.

Navarez did give him problems because he went out of his way to keep his distance, and for the occasional counter he landed, he was in retreat all night. That and the power meant Donaire got a little over-zealous. But he won every round.

Rigo might be able to offset Donaire early on, but he will need to come into Donaire's range to land his counters, whether that's Donaire stepping in or Rigo coming forward. The danger is that Donaire sets impeccable traps for anyone coming in.

Nishioka gave Donaire nothing to work for, lost every round in the process, still got smacked. He tried to be more assertive and got flattened. I don't think Rigo is much better as a pro than Nishioka and I don't see that tactic ever working with Donaire.

Donaire does like to use lead left hooks but I dont think he'll throw as many against an opponent as cunning as rigo, it could end up being boring as **** because both fighters will try to counterpunch.

What is Donaire's chin like, has he ever been on the floor?
