Leaves a sour taste that. Performance should be reflected in the result i.e. the scorecards. Of course there are plenty of fights you can allow leeway for if it was a tough one to score. Sounds like this was a pretty straight forward one to score though.
It was very straight forward to score, im just glad it was a UD i had a feeling it would be a SD, Rigo is a master of boxing
I said it during the fight, it was most likely that most of the fans booing were frustrated phillipinos. Also you have to take into consideration that most sports fans are ****ing morons, in any sport. You can take any sport and find a large number of supporters acting the ****** in mass. I'd be a bit sceptical of a fight fan who couldn't appreciate that performance for what it was, it was.poise, control and ring generalmanship like you almost never see at this level. Superb.
Just that I've noticed it before in American staged fights. They start booing if the fights not an absolute scrap. Really ****ing irritating. They're like Jon Snow. They know nothing.
Honestly it was the most boring fight I've seen in years, that was not a master boxing match, throwing a few punches a round and ducking/ running around the ring nigh on head butting the floor he was ducking that low at times is not a ****ing master class of boxing.atsch Some of you on here really need to get out more often
Fell asleep with burger and chips on chest, 10 pints earlier. missed the fight and feel like dirt. Rigo was superb by all accounts?
I can't believe more people didn't predict the inevitable. Rigo is an ATG, Donaire never stood a chance. Like printing money,
Thought I was watching football he was running around that much,I was looking for the ball half the fight :deal
a good tactical battle....for me, if boxing was all big ko's and no chess games, it would be boring too. i used to love terry griffiths playing snooker too.
Wouldn't call it running, he's a counter puncher, that's his strength. He played to his strength, he made donnaire miss, a lot and then pot shotted him with counters. He barely engaged in a clinch all match and his back was never against the ropes. I honestly think if people can't appreciate that performance then they should look for another sport.
