Rigo vs Loma meeting at the middle at 126 would be the perfect way to end the year.

Why do people come on here and say the dumbest things? If this year has taught us anything, it's that when 2 top fighters get in the ring, it's competitive and not an easy task for either fighter.

I won't be surprised if Rigo pulls a Floyd & weighs in at 125/6 if it's at 130.

    Im pulling for Rigo.

    Because rigo is too small.
What did we learn from 2016?
Look what happened to brook against ggg jumping up weight classes. Look what happened to Khan when he jumped up to face canelo.

Are the bookies dumb by making lomachenko a clear favourite?

Just wait and see and we'll see who the dumb one is here.

Yes but rigo isn't fighting an mma fighter who's having his first fight.

Rigo could have fought him at 124 with a rehydration clause a year ago but passed.

Yep It's his own fault. Either way I'd have lomachenko winning.
Looking at the predictions of this fight online, it's same idiots who predicted broner was going to beat Garcia who are picking Rigo.
It's a good job the bookies don't have these dimwits working for them. Although I wish they did lol.

Rigo is fast, but Lomachenko is also fast, plus Lomachenko has angles, many more angles he uses like no other fighter I have even seen...................Lomachenko's footwork is the best I have ever seen, he has much faster feet and he hits harder. Lomachenko is also bigger, has the reach and can punch harder..................his legs are stronger, but very flexible......................while Rigo will have fast hands, Lomachenko will box circles around him using his footwork and angles, that's the big difference, then add the size..................remember, Lomachenko is not easy to hit and Rigo's power will not move up with him.................But Lomachenko's will be there. Lomachenko could not go down in weight because he plans on going up to fight Mikey Garcia to 135, later 140...............

Jump up in weight in the lower weights isn't the same as it for the higher weights.
Going from Super bantam to Super FW not the same as WW to MW.
A middleweight has significantly more power than a welterweight, the gap in power between a super bantam and super featherweight isn't nearly as damaging

So, you really think Lomachenko is slow and can't land a punch on Rigo? We will see...................you think Lomachenko is easy to hit? Has no footwork, has no angles, has no power, has not Olympic experience? I hope Rigo thinks that...............

This sounds like you're only interested in taking down the most irrational of Loma fans. It's always a good thing when there's NOT a catchweight agreement for bouts between guys at different weights. When there is there's excuses if the smaller man wins or even performs better than expected. And catchweights have simply done too much damage in the last 15 or so years to the point of weight classes as distinct competitive fields. Loma-Rigo should be at the division of the bigger man, end of. Loma has said he wouldn't demand a bigger fighter meet him at a catchweight because he "believes in proper weight categories" and doesn't want to beat a compromised opponent, and he's only being consistent in not giving himself the built-in excuse that he was drained here.

You're exaggerating the impact of the weight limit to make an unfair point. Loma's size advantage will be significant but the advantage is in his natural size and would be the same if he weighed in at 126 or 130. As others said, he'll weigh 136-138 in the ring even if he makes 126. If you don't like the fight at 130 you shouldn't like it at 126. Sure like Golovkin-Brook and other fights we should question the matchup somewhat because of the size advantage, but so should we if it were at 126 or 124, anytime in the last four years.

I love the fight and think Rigo's being underrated because of his size. Loma will have trouble landing cleanly or repeatedly on Rigo because he's so hard to touch. The size advantage will be in Loma's ability to take Rigo's power and that Rigo likely won't be able to hurt him if he does land his best. But we're going to get a great, close boxing match and Rigondeaux sure has a chance to outbox Loma, I don't care if Loma's 10+ lbs bigger. Because of Rigo's skill we shouldn't have anywhere near the problem with this as other size mismatches.

Because this will likely be a difficult match yet against an opponent who isn't a big draw it's despite the weight advantage high risk low reward for Loma. He should get the highest respect because a) especially by making it at 130 he's giving Rigo a chance at greatness and b) Rigo with his skill and class is the greatest possible technical, stylistic challenge for him. I give him massive props for not just taking the fight but for making it at 130.

Yh i mean why would you watch SBW Rigo fight SFW Loma?! The greatest technical matchup that can be made in boxing looollll durhhhhhh... I get you man! Why would we?! When we can watch former BW LSC fight Frampton at FW on replay or we can wait for former SBW Linares to fight Campbell at LW too! Just watching SMW Ward fight Kovalev again too.... **** this Rigo, Loma fight!

Loma will be 140 and Rigo 128, no matter the weight class they fight at.

Weight may be an issue, but I think Rigo's skill will insure the fight is not a blow out like the G and Canelo fights. Also, P4P, I would say, both G and Canelo hit harder than Loma. So this fight will be competitve for sure! Anyone that thinks different, either doesn't know boxing or are fanboys of the highest order!
