That's kind of wrong any way you look at it, isn't it? Or do you let personal beef with that poster get in way of good judgement?

Anyway, Rigo shouldn't be fighting prospects and Canelo shouldn't be fighting junior welters. The difference is that Canelo, as a draw, has other options options.

 

there would be more sympathy for Canelo if didnt hold a title and was just a prospect coming up.

Can he not fight one of those pseudo-belt holders, like the WBU or the XYZ champion? At least their is a belt on line and fighting a champion, no matter how obscure the belt is is still better than fighting a bum.

 

Canelo has a belt so he is a target and is fighting bums when he should be fighting the best in his division, this kid doesn't so he can keep up with his development instead of fighting the best in his division.

Yes hypocrisy is strong when it comes to defend your favs, Rigondeaux needs to fight whoever is put in front of him, but he's been calling the best and so far nobody has answer the call, and tell me which fighter with only 10 fights has a better resume than Rigondeaux, I think we know who the hypocrite is...

Amazing how charros can't see my point. If you are a young fighter not ready for a title, don't take a gift belt if cant defend it.Marroquin is fighting a champ when he should be doing what canelo is doing,fighting vets to test his skills. Once you are the champ there is not choice but fighting the best.
The difference is ; if Marroquin beats Rigo will be a legit champ because he's earning his belt the way it should be.Not by beating a bloated welter.
