Both at their best.. who do you think takes it? We all know pep is regarded as one of history's best PFP fighters. Many already regard Rigodeaux as one of the sports PFP best. Who takes this one? My money would be on Willie Pep boxing his ears off to a late KO. He didn't go his first 62 fights without a loss for no reason.
Willie Pep is in a different league to Rigo, Pep would school him. Rigo has like one good win EVER in the pros. Pep is a top 5 All time Great. Arguably the greatest ever!
Wouldn't happen. Rigo would make loads of noise about how Pep is ducking him whilst he goes and makes fights with Japanese journeymen and Jazza Dickens.
I think the contrast in styles would be fun to watch. Though I do agree Pep is superior in every category
boxing has evolved technically pep was the best of his time, but put him in todays game, even journeymen would be technically better than him, it's unfair because in the early1900's there's not the level of training there is now technique competitiveness, strength and conditioning etc
how is it a troll thread, rigo was a great amateur, albeit a very boring one, who some people think highly of. what was your account before this mate?
Could you make it more obvious that you are yet another alt of Thatsright11/mikelazcano. The mods said every single one of your future accounts will be banned immediately so it's only matter of time before you are banned again You talk abouts 'trolls ' and 'trolling' a lot which is extremely ironic seeing as though you are the only troll I can think of that has a LIFETIME ban. You are biggest troll on here ever - FACT
Hahahaha!! He just goes IRATE if one of his Cuban Heros lose a hypothetical matchup! And notice the moron can't even say how good Pep was?! At least I give props to fighters I don't favor and don't troll!
I imagine we've already seen the best of Rigo, and an incredible best it's been so far. There's no particular reason to favour a boxer over him unless you think that boxer is better at what he does than Rigo, which is incredibly difficult to say. The chin won't be an issue here. Both men will fight on the outside and the question is who is quicker at range. I say Pep, almost entirely because we actually saw his prime and we haven't seen Rigo at his best. Rigo in his younger years might have been just as fast, I don't know. But prime Pep should beat an older, smaller, outfighter imo.
