I get what you're saying, different eras and all. But Willie didn't fight in the early 1900's- he was a great FW of the 50's. Compare his style to someone like a Joe Gans who fought in the EARLY 1900's or even someone like a Benny Leonard of the 20's, and you could see those styles back than were a lot different (even their overall boxing stance looked more like fencing positions than that of boxers.) Pep's style was a more modern form; in fact he was arguably decades ahead of everyone else in the 50's when it came to technique and overall skill.
Exactly. And I love the way we continue to beat on that little trolls corpse. Lmao He's already been destroyed in his argument.
I absolutely agree with better training and diets but more skilled i disagree. Imho boxing is timeless like baseball. If you put Ted Williams in todays game and he`d still be one of the best hitters in the game. check out this excellent vid breakdown of Peps skills i think youll appreciate it. Good post I agree, but in a way pep may look rudimentary versus the best of today as you pointed out the 20's fighters looked vs him
Has he said as much? What we know is that he walked away from 500k minimum to go and fight Jazza for a relative pittance. Look if you want to say he's been avoided fine but don't be the type of hypocritical idiot who then claims he didn't swerve a fight with Lomachenko. He looked at Loma's credentials and bricked his Cuban themed trunks.
So some might say he priced himself out of the fight asking for money that wasn't there due to him being such a flop in the drawer sense. He's very entitled, moaning about not being able to get big fights and then turns down half a million dollars to fight one of the sport's elite names. He shat himself man, he was happy to take utterly crap money to fight Jazza and other journeymen in Japan whilst begging Frampton, Quigg and LSC for paydays.
Just admit it, you're a fanboy. You can play all the cards you want but your favorite fighters ducked Rigo. A minute ago, you were asking why he didn't ask for more money and I just showed you a link where he did. Now you're claiming that he was pricing his way out. I wish more fighters had the heart of Shane Mosely back in the early 2000s when everyone was ducking Winky Wright. Shane didn't use the excuse of "he's not a draw". No, he stepped up to the plate and fought Winky when he really didn't have to.
Yeah, I asked why he didn't try and negotiate. He claimed he did. Thus he didn't negotiate very well as the fight wasn't made and he had to go fight Jazza Dickens for pennies. The other option is that he didn't really want that fight as for once it was against someone he felt he may have been at a skill disadvantage against. He chose to earn **** money against **** opponents. That's undeniable even for you. And I'm not a fanboy of Loma as you claim I just see it how it is but you clearly slobber all over Rigo justifying his blatant duck whilst whining on about how he can't get the fights he wants. Anyway, we've clearly reached an impasse. You and about 5 other people think Rigo wanted that fight whilst the rest of the world saw him run for the hills, turning his back on a lucrative payday for peanuts.
Of course I am. *sarcastic tone* That's how you explain away your hero ducking the best fighter that wanted to face him rather than face the reality of what actually happened. You may have noticed that I didn't say Loma def beat him but rather that Rigo didn't want to know. Anyway keep on hugging Rigo's tiny nuts you deluded idiot. I hope that Cuban Kool-Aid tastes good.
