According to GMANews, Manny Pacquiao will spare with undefeated champion, Guillermo Rigondeaux, for his upcoming bout with Floyd Mayweather.

Rigondeaux has the reflexes, footwork, amazing defensive skills, and a great boxer all around, but he's a super bantamweight who's shorter than Pacquiao while Mayweather is a full-blown welterweight who's taller.

    What do you think?

    Here's the link

    More from: http://www.gmanetwork.com/news/stor...world-champ-rigondeaux-sparring-with-pacquiao

Also a couple days ago, Rigon posted a throwback instagram photo of him, Pacquiao, and Freddie Roach taking a photo together. So, that could be more subliminal verification that this is true.

Hitting Rigon is like hitting air. I don't even know if Pacquiao will be able to touch him, lol.

Yea, Rigo would be quality sparring. He's a jr feather, but he has the speed to match Floyd, plus a counter puncher. He hits like a truck too. I think Sadam Ali and Terrence Crawford would be better, only thing is they have fights coming up shortly I believe.

That's the only problem...Pac won't be able to throw with real intention...

It will have to be quite a methodical sparring session. Footwork & ring positioning will probably be focused on.

Also have to account for Floyd's height difference.

Rigo might not be the best sparring For manny, it would frustrate manny too much. Also guillermo isnt a pressure fighter at all where floyd is, which will cause a discrepancy in the ring for pac.

Pac not wearing headgear is stupid. Donaire and Pac are the same weight walking around. Skin is skin. Rigo can cut wlad if he lands right.

Not really. Pacquiao doesn't need experience fighting pressure fighters. He knows how to handle them. Fighting that style is his bread and butter.

He needs to get as many looks as possible. If Floyd wants to come in extremely defensive and "floaty" like he was in the first half of Canelo, then Rigo would be great. Plus, he's a smaller target to land which would be even tougher for Pac.

Saying not to spar him because Pacquiao would get frustrated is stupid, sorry. That's like not having Floyd spar extremely speedy fighters because he'd get frustrated. They need to start adjusting, Manny to "hard to hit" opponents, and Floyd to fast-handed opponents.

Oh, lol. Still from today, I thought you meant from like a week ago! Sorry, I didn't see it on the forum. I even checked to make sure I wasn't posting something redundant. Guess I didn't look hard enough.

    My bad!
