Maybe going head up with a Showtime Card might have had something to do with it. You left that out.

Yet Rigondeaux also was responsible for far and away the highest rating of Donaire's career against a non-Mexican.

The rating will play huge in Rigo's future fight purse. Lowest rating for a main event in Boxing After Dark's 17 years history. Which sucks cause now it makes it harder to get other guys to fight him for smaller purse.

I was hopping to see him fight more in 14.

Yeah, that got around 660k in terms of views. The fact that they went head to head divided the attention of boxing fans. Pretty sure the numbers would have been higher for both main events under other circumstances.

I'm curious how these ratings are determined. If you have people constantly switching back and forth, are the ratings only a measured snap shot?

I'm not one who buys into bitching about people having to like Rigo, Ward, or Mayweather's styles. You watch those fights with appreciation, but low emotion. I can watch a replay of those fights and get the same satisfaction as watching them live. But violent back and fourth affairs like Kikland's, or the Froch-Groves will rightfully always garner more excitement and demand.
