I like Rigo but I have to be consistent, he's doing the same thing a lot of other popular fighters do: Selective Catchweighting. Sorry, Rigo; you must be called on it.
It's his trainers fault. Abel Sanchez aka Ron Jeremy lookalike talks out of his ass constantly - I don't listen to a single interview of his anymore.
"Selective catchweight" That's a very good phrase. And the two guys who are doing this are probably the two biggest boogie men of the sport right now.
i have to laugh at all the ggg fanboys getting all hurt when someone mentions his similar tactics then it becomes "ward doesnt bring any money"...i bet the ward/ggg fight would have brought ggg the most money in his career......and if he beat ward it would be his signature win of his career for sure.....for certain its funny...it brings no money for ggg but kovalev is certainly willing to take the money and prestige of fighting ward....strange ggg is just sitting back and hoping he gets an easy payday against canelo...thats it...plain and simple.....and to be honest...even though i wanna see canelo/ggg(or ggg versus a live body)i almost hope oscar sticks it to ggg....and watch his career waste away.....because they have no stones
A fight would Canelo would bring his signature win of his career and a higher payday. You're basically saying that going after Ward would be ducking Canelo because Canelo would be his highest payday rather than Ward. Completely ignoring that Ward is two division above Golovkin and has been for a while yet you keep mentioning him every day. GGG would make more money fighting Eubank jr, Saunders, or Canelo than he would fighting Ward.
Watch the same fannies who bashed Golovkin for years defend Rigo now, I'm going to be consistent, until Rigo moves up he doesn't have to fight Lomachenko. Don't care about these callouts. You can already see them deflect the topic to GGG lol.
u guys keep acting as if getting canelo is automatic...it certainly is not...many think, including insiders, that oscar wont make the fight.... what you guys keep saying is "ward is 2 divisions above ggg"......at the time ward talked about making the fight he had yet to fight smith....and had fought at 168 for his career....so he was only 1 division above him...in a division ggg tried to make fights in....ya now he is 2 divisions above him...i already know the fight will not happen in the future....im talking about months ago.....you cant deny that ggg ducked a guy that fought his whole career at 168 but as usual you cant bring yourself to utter a negative word about ggg defend ggg at all costs! talk negatively about any other fighter whos mentioned in the same sentence that has accomplished more!!!!
i dont even care about rigo its ggg fans that have been doing the deflecting for months now...you can try to flip it around...we know the truth....ggg fans flip and deflect any possible situation that makes him look not so good....this is typical behavior and why he is hated on the funny thing is you said "Bashed ggg for years"...as if ggg has been hated on for many years...lol...shows how out of touch with reality you are......hes only been bashed in the last year for terrible choices ....for taking step asides and ducking challenges...and attempted cherrypicking....but youve attempted to convince yourself that ggg has been tortured for years by unrealistic fans...lol
Exactly. A fighter isn't obligated to treat every fight outside their division with the same equality. Even fighting a single top fighter above your weight class should be a merit on your resume. Rigo should be praised for moving up and fighting Cruz. Just because he doesn't fight other people at 126 doesn't mean he will be ducking them.
Not for many but a couple of years. I don't see anyone here bashing Rigondeaux or calling him a Rigonduck (from the GGG hate camp) at best there's one guy saying "But GGG also did it". Shows the double standards.
I mean I get it, LSC is the Haymon guy with the Mexican crowd behind him, + he's a pretty limited fighter, it's just a good risk-reward scenario, so it's obviously a much more attractive proposition than Loma. But for me, if he does move up to fight LSC, I think he should fight Loma then as well.
GGG fans invented the double standard......lol.... "oh my poor ggg ..hes been bashed forrrrr YEAAARRRSSSS...what did he do wrong..he didnt do anything wronggggg"
