    Here we go again...

Every time a pro boxer ( with more pro experience ) has to fight a former Cuban amateur star ( with less pro experience ) they always go for the same quote " this is not the amateurs, it's a whole different ballgame ". I don't know how many pro fighters have said this before before facing a Cuban amateur turned pro, well let me see...

Grady Brewer against Erislandy Lara said the same thing, result= Brewer ended up being KO'ed.

Willie Lee against Erislandy Lara said the same thing, result= Lee ended up flat on his ass in the first round...

Monte Barret said the exact same thing against Odlanier Solis, result= Barrett lost by 2 round Knockout...

Robert Garcia also said a similar statement about Casamayor, result= Garcia lost by KO in the 8th round...

Marcos Ramirez also said something very similar against Gamboa, result= Ramirez lost by 2nd round KO...

Randall Bailey said that he had more pro experience than Diosbelys Hurtado, result= Bailey lost by KO in the 6th...

Epifanio Mendoza, was very confident that his pro experience would be too much for Cuban debuter Humberto Savigne, result= Savigne won by second round KO...

And there have been many others who have said similar statements, so I guess it's very safe to " include Cordoba " in this list. He will also get his Cuban boxing lesson just as the others have and even more facing Rigondeaux, man, this guy does'nt really understand who he will be in the ring against on that day !!! :patsch

well, Pacquiao and Rigondeaux is fighting.... this is an obvious bob must-buy!

i think it was in a postfight, Rig's management was claiming in getting him a title shot inside of 8 fights. Well ****, they werent blowing smoke at all lol!

Personally, i'd rather see him fight a C class fighter, then a a B- fighter as a tune up, then a title attempt. But what the hell do i know? Obviously his management believes he's ready, so i assume he really is. Easily the most accomplished and seasoned amateur out there. He's got the creds to do it.

I just hope Rigondeaux doesnt start off very conservative. Needs to start off a bit assertive and set the tone from there. DEFINITELY target the body early and he might have an early ending with his killer liver jab. Whatever the case, it'll pay dividends mid to late rounds.
    I got him for a midround KO/TKO....

I'm with you in this one, but we all know this is not a gimmick fight, Cordoaba is an accomplished boxer, that has won a belt and has fought 5 times for world tittles. It is big step up for a fighter with only 6 prof. fights, d only reason they doing this is because Rigondeaux is almost 30, time is not on his side.
