The most talented boxer out there, with amazing skills-speed,power,defense is already 30 years old and only has 8 fights as a pro.Last fight only lasted 1 round. And still no opponent named for his next fight.
I havent seen worse management ever.
Rigo has plenty of talent but he lacks carisma,he doesnt speak english, doesnt have the looks of hollywood stars, kind of shy around people. Is he facing disaster? Unless something really big is cooking i dont see Rigo's career going anywhere.I lost track of people surrounding him,i dont know what's going on.****ing sad.

wrong.. Manny does speak english(with strong accent but decent enough)He is been in several TV shows here in USA.
and his career and price has gone up since his communications skills has improved. He is no shy at all, he sings,he tells jokes, always smiling.
No, dude .Manny is exactly what non american boxer should do to success in USA.

I dont get why either. HE is in a divison where big things are going down and fighters are making names for themselves. You got the bantamweight tournament who more thatn likely will move up. Also Donaire is there. Montiel, And 4 pounds north you got guys like Salido, Gamboa, JML Garcia, PDL, Russell Jr.

So many great fights he could have. I actually want to see him in with someone elite again. He left a bad taste in my mouth against hmm Cordoba?? Im not sure on the name but so far he was the most elite fighter he had faced and did well but not great. You have to perform great against the top names if you want to be great.

I would like to see how he handles someone with the size and pressure of Salido.

there's something about this guy that seems off.. like... has anyone ever seen him smile.. or show any emotion whatsoever? He's the most stoic mother****er I've ever seen. Even after he KOs someone, he seems to show little to no emotion.. (at least from what I've seen of him).

exactly my point... there are so many names out there!..dont even have to move up in weight, just stay at 122 a fight somebody with a name.I believe they are trying to get a big name with a big purse, but that is difficult to acomplish if he isnt fighting enough and been exposed on TV winning in great fashion.Tired of that ****!...

Yes that is whats wrong with the sport we love.

Also he needs to just fight frequently and pick up a title. Once he gets a title things should be easier for him. I like his style. I love the counter punchers and specially the ones that know how to go to the body. However he showed in the Cordoba fight that he might go too defensive if he gets decked. He needs to get rid of that.

I drool at the thought of Donaire-Rigondeux....

His career thus far has been a dissappointment. I expected him to be fighting for a title shot by now given his skillset and age.

I saw that and i understand he was a lower level guy though. Thats why i want to see him with a top tier guy.
The skills are definately there but im not quite sold on him yet. Some guys just dont like to get hit.
Hey is it true he and Gamboa used to train together and he used to get the best out of Gamboa??
