Rigo should be higher and Broner and Alvarez I would struggle to put them top 15 never mind 10.

In my opinion P4P should not be so heavily weighed based on a single opponent. That's the only reason I feel Rigo isn't ready for this list yet and also why Marquez doesn't deserve to be #3.

Mares overrated? Only in ESB does a boxer lose and he is overrated. :patsch

Mares still has a better resume than Rigo. The ones I really don't find a case to be on the P4P list are Canelo and Broner, other than the fact that they are GBP fighters and are their possible "golden boys". Rigo should of been there as soon as he disposed of Nonito. And Bradley who has a better resume should be higher!

Even though I'm a big fan of Martinez, he should be dropping some spots based in his performance against Murray.

It's the Ring...what people expect. They're going to promote their own fighters.

Nice list, although I don't think Broner deserves to be there ahead of the likes of Garcia, W. Klit, GGG, Alvarez, I'd even rank Trout/Lara ahead of him after his performance against Malignaggi, would probably rank Matthyse/Alexander above him too.

I'm absolutely sold on Rigo after his schooling of Donaire. The guy needs some more fights quick though, get in there with friggin Gamboa or something and just come in well below weight, I think he'd still boss it.

I mean seriously, if you apply Rigo's style/skills etc to a different weight class and who do you honestly see beating him? I'd be tempted to put him in at no.2 but I think I'd be placing a bit too much emphasis on the Donaire win. Still, who could blame me lol, the guy absolutely dominated the p4p no.3/4 KO artist, FOTY 2012.

    My P4P Top 10:

    1, Mayweather
    2, Ward
    3, Rigondeaux
    4, Wladimir
    5, Marquez
    6, Martinez
    7, Pacquiao
    8, Alvarez
    9, Broner
    10, Donaire

IMO Mayweather, Ward & Rigo are head and shoulders above the rest.

How is Broner in anyones top 10 ???? WHO HAS HE FOUGHT ???? his best win is a over the hill Mallinaggi. Kudos for coming up a few divisions but he could hardly have fought a least dangerous opponent for a title.

His next best win is a gift decision over PDL for gods sake. I would have Garcia, Froch, Donaire Abner all in top 10 over Broner.

The wank fest over this guy is sickening he is flat footed and has very very average defence, he rolls his shoulder a little bit like pretty boy and suddenly he is the second coming. He is going to get KTFO as soon as he comes up against someone live

Ridiculous. Rigondeaux deserves to be at least in the top 3. None of these jokers above Rigo in the list have ever done what Rigo did ( in both ams and pros ). It's called " pure hating against black Cubans ". They can take that P4P list and shove it.

Sadly Rigo won't be there for long as he will likely get bumped out by the winner of Garcia and Lucas. In Reality broner should be removed and Rigo should be bumped up while the winner of Danny and Lucas gets placed at 10.

I think they are going to put him as close to 1 as he can after every win to sell a Floyd fight

Broner should not even be in the top 20. More like Stieglitz, Kessler type level.

3 weight classes dont mean **** when you fight paper champs and even lose like vs PDL/Paulie. Bradley, Froch, both Garcias, Golovkin, Mathysse, Alexander, Maidana, Vitali, Hopkins, Guerrero, Donaire, Quillin all clearly better p4p. And of course Rigo. Would put money on Rigo potshotting the living daylights out of Broner 13 lbs above his own weightclass. Utter **** as well..

Size had something to do with that. Ward would make mayweather look like a bum, if they ever fought.

    1. Mayweather
    2. Wlad
    3. Ward
    4. JMM
    5. Martinez
    6. Rigondeaux
    7. Pac
    8. Golovkin
    9. Alvarez
    10. Bradley

The top 3 are in a different tier for me as far as current H2H ability, which I would also include Rigo in. The difference is Rigo, although having a great top-end win in Donaire, just doesn't have the overall career accomplishment yet.

My rating method is to put a heavier weight on H2H dominance, then career accomplishment, recent accomplishment, and activity level. I don't try to bother projecting how different styles project across different weight classes, it's just adding another level of heresay to an argument that's already got oversupply of it. A heavyweight shouldn't fight like a bantamweight, and a bantamweight shouldn't fight like a heavyweight. It's the dominance and the provenance of how they win, and who they win against, that counts. Just my 2 cents.
